They don't know how to turn the stereo on and the picture looked like it was projected onto an old wooly towel. Absolute rubbish for $11

“Quite the treat”
Reviewed 25 November 2012

We don't often go to the cinema and see it as a bit of a treat when we do make it there. With Skyfall just being released we jumped at the chance to head to Reading Cinema as we were stopping in Invercargill for a couple of days on a road trip.
The lady that served us was extremely polite, helpful, cheerful and friendly. We headed in and were most impressed by the large seats and armrests that awaited us. Better than the cramped, narrow seats with low backs that we have generally encountered. Overall a very pleasant and comfortable experience.

“Good cinema ruined by poor organisation”
Reviewed 9 November 2012

A comfortable cinema which shows up to date films. The experience is ruined by the ticketing sales. Why on earth do you have to queue up for your ticket behind people who are buying popcorn, drinks, chocolate and everything else?? All this while another member of staff stands like a wet lettuce waiting to look at the ticket that she has just seen you purchase. For goodness sake get organised and have sufficient staff selling tickets or customers have to get there 15 minutes earlier than the film starts to make certain that they don't miss the start of the film.
