Let's start? I been there a couple of times and every single time is a memorable experience. I have done the cavern tour, wine tasting, chese tasting, lunch and even drive all the way from qtn just to have coffees and enjoy the beautiful sun sitting in their outdoor chairs. Well done Gibbston team. You guys are legends

“Good place for breakfast”
Reviewed 13 August 2014 via mobile

Dropped by the place for some cheese tasting and bought a piece of cheese to go along with the wines in our car. Have already consumed more than half of the cheese with a nice bottle of white while I am typing this review in the comfort of my hotel room. Would have bought more cheese if I am not flying back to my country soon.

We also have our breakfast here and as we were early, we have the whole place to ourselves. The baguette and the portobello mushroom soup were delicious and they go well with our cappuccino and tea.

The place was cosy and we managed to have a sofa seat, relaxing while having our breakfast.
The lady was nice and brought over the heater to our area.

We went over to the winery after our breakfast. Did a quick wine tasting and bought a couple of bottles. Personally, I enjoyed the taste and smoothness of their wines.

It was a beautiful day in Queenstown and some friends and I decided to go for a drive and do something different with our kids.

As we usually go to arrowtown, we decided based on the recommendation of some of our other friends to try Gibston Valley for a change.

Unfortunately our experience was not worth the extra drive or time in the car.

On arrival, We chose to sit at the cafe on the outside tables to enjoy the views and sun.

Being lunch time we consulted the beverage and lunch menu and were really dispointed with the options available.

Only filter coffee was available no speciality coffee, menu displayed was incorrect as some items listed were not available on ordering.

Prices were quiet high, so only one of our party ate and others ordered drinks. Service was slow and disorganised. Food was very average and not very inspired.

It is a great pitty that the cafe does not use its service opportunity better. I would recommend people to rather stop in Arrowtown, the experience is much more worthwhile.

“A perfect starting point for a wine tour”
Reviewed 25 May 2014

Top cheeses, super nice knowledgable staff, and all that goes with it. A perfect starting point for a tour of the wineries. Foodies will love this place as it brings together a wide cross-section of regional artisan foods.
