Food is fresh and full of flavour. I went here 4 or 5 times during my week stay in queenstown. I couldn't get enough of the ramen. It's a really fun bar and the staff were all really friendly. Very affordable too!

came here solo for a meal and a beer after work, walked in at about 6pm on a wednesday and the place was half full i sat at the bar and was quickly attended to, i started with deep fried squid and a japanese beer, the squid a little oily still but cooked perfectly and full of flavor, i finished and conversed with a fellow diner, the attentive and fast service was a pleasure, i went on to order duck gizzards and ribeye steak, the gizzards a little gristly but enjoyable and the rib eye cooked to a perfect medium rare and doused in a lovely japanese sauce. by now the place was full and people were enjoying food and sake bombs, this place has an amazing atmosphere yet is speak-easy. i wolfed down the gizzards and steak and delved into the ox-tongue this was good ox-tongue,some smaller pieces a bit tough but the bigger centre slices were soft and delicious,i also couldnt help but notice the paper thin cut onion, serous precision cutting. to finish i had a green tea ice cream with sweet tuile, nothing over bearing but enjoyable. they did miss one order of another beer which i had to ask again for, but they went about solving this quickly. overall a great place, modest prices and a buzzing atmosphere. will be back

Small intimate Japanese restaurant, just like Tokyo. Everyone talks about the Sake Bomb, but it's just sake dropped into a glass of beer. The real value is the food and intimacy.
