Great wee cafe with good service and really good food. We ate here twice for brunch and both times everything was great. We had poached eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages and pumpkin & corn bread and all were good sized portions, fresh and delicious. The perfectly cooked poached eggs and a good pile of melt in the mouth scrambled eggs were fantastic. The toast & bread was a delight - freshly baked!!! Soooo delicious. So many times I seem to be served plain supermarket or stale-ish bread with badly cooked eggs - i.e. over-cooked, tasting of vinegar, measly portions or rubbery - so to have perfect eggs and toast that tasted like it was just out of the oven was a surprising treat. Staff were friendly too and they had a high-chair for our infant. The coffee was great too. The place was packed both days but there is plenty of room, and we were able to sit in a function room area down the back to keep the high chair out of the way. After an awful lunch experience at Les Alpes the day before, this cafe is a new brekkie & brunch favourite.

Lovely meal, accommodated our requirements. My lamb was to die for. Pinot noir was too cold. I had the Surveyor Thomson Pinot Noir at Rata on another night at the correct temperature and it was incredible.

This was one of the cafes recommended by our waiter at dinner the night before as a great place to get coffee and it was very good! We sat on the stools by the front window to watch the people go by and enjoyed out coffee very much. The food looked great and we thought we'd come back for a meal but ran out of time - next time!

I came here for breakfast--had a latte and fruit with yoghurt. The portions were generous and the fruit quite fresh. I'd definitely come back. Earlier is probably better; the place started to fill up around 10:00 am.

Went here twice, firstly for a drink, but the food looked good for we went back the next morning for breakfast. The lemon pancakes and the fish on pumpernickel bread are worth trying. Would go back.
