Margie and Ned are truly exceptional hosts with accommodation to match - stylish yet comfortable and with stunning views over the Cardrona ski range. During a three night stay we made repeated use of the spa pool, gorgeous guest lounge and the mountain bikes with which a circuit of the nearby Lake Hayes is an absolute ‘must do’. A delicious choice of breakfasts were prepared before us at a time of our choosing in the guest kitchen including the most amazing juice cocktail.
Margie and Ned are very knowledgeable about Queenstown and the surrounding area and directed us to a couple of brilliant vineyard restaurants, even offering to take and pick us up! Bearsden is a great base from which to explore Queenstown, being peacefully located but a short drive from Lake Wakatipu.
A memorable stay with outstanding hospitality and we plan to return.

This was our second time staying at Bearsden, we just couldn't stay away! Margie and Ned are the friendliest hosts we've ever had, constantly going out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible... making sure the hot tub is at the perfect temperature, having the indoor and outdoor fires ready to use and keeping the whiskey and sherry flowing! Neds cooked breakfasts are incredible! Couldn't recommend Bearsden enough, can't wait for a third visit! Thanks again, James and Nicki

Hey James & Nicky. Thank you so much for your review and sorry about the tardy reply. We have just returned from Rarotonga. You really need to go there you would love it. But we hope we will see you back here for a ski. It is getting colder and there was fresh snow on The Remarkables this morning. It was great to see you again and meet the family. We look forward to catching up again. Best wishes Margie, Ned and Bruno

We stayed 4 days at Bearsden and had an exceptional stay. The house is so well placed with easy access to Arrowtown and Queenstown and all the facilities locally available. Margie and Ned are superb hosts with a fund of local experience and information on all the recreational and touring activities in this part of New Zealand. The room, bed and lounge were extremely comfortable with views to Coronet Peak and the Remarkables and breakfasts excellent. All in all a great place to stay, so highly recommended.

Well, you need not read my review of the fabulous Bearsden B&B...all you need do is scroll down and read the other 71 people that gave it 5 stars... but you're here so let's start with mine. The other B&Bs that we stayed at complimented our NZ experience. Bearsden enhanced our experience and endeared us to the owners Margie and Ned ( and yes, their Lab., Bruno). There is great attention to detail in the room you'll be staying in, as well as, the other rooms in the house. The outside property overlooks their near-by ski mountain making the property feel like a Shangra--La experience. Your hosts will assist you in every way re: restaurant reservations, day trips, etc. They will enhance your visit and you will actually wish you booked longer upon leaving. So, let's rate them 5 stars plus!,

Spent five nights at Bearsden in late February and so enjoyed the beautifully quiet setting nestled between the Remarkables and Coronet Peak, fabulous views in every direction. This is an ideal location for hiking and exploring the wonders and delights of the region.

Margie and Ned are such gracious hosts, always attentive and full of great suggestions for enjoying Queenstown and its surroundings. Margie helped us organize and put together a plan to include everything we wanted to see and do and more, even factoring in the weather for a flight and nature cruise on Milford Sound.

When we arrived, there was fresh fruit and a bottle of wine in the room as well as fresh flowers during our stay. The accommodations are first class, very comfortable bed, lovely lounge with wood burning stove, and a dining area with folding glass doors opening onto an unobstructed and ever- changing view of Coronet Peak. The hot tub on the deck is well worth a mention. After a busy day, it was so nice to relax under the stars.

Breakfast included a wide range of yummy and healthy choices, all delicious. We especially enjoyed the feta and spinach omelette and of course the great conversations each morning. We learned so much about the history and traditions of the people of New Zealand.

We highly recommend this charming B&B. Thank you Ned and Margie for making our stay such a delightful and memorable one.
