We stayed in August and was upgraded to Deluxe Lakeview two bedroom apartment style room on the ground floor where you can easily access to outside and breakfast venue. You will find all staffs have good hospitality skills.

Pros: a fireplace, modern clean room, mountain view, good Wifi, staffs, variety of restaurants, free shuttle bus Cons: Variety/quality of Breakfast menu is not as good as other Hilton properties, Spa next to a pool is not working

It would be good if there's more courtesy shuttle service during a peak hours (especially at night) but we were lucky to book a seat every day during our stay. A drivers were so helpful and comes on time. I will be back again next year and will stay at Hilton Queenstown.

We stayed in Deluxe Lakeview rooms. The hotel was located conveniently, close to the airport and ski fields (and Remarkable Shopping Centre). We had rental cars but you can easily do without cars as the hotel provides courtesy shuttle service to/from Queenstown every two hours, and water taxi ($10pp each way) from the hotel's own private jetty every two hours. North facing location was perfect to enjoy warn winter sun a bit longer than other accommodations on the other side of the lake. (When we were in town the sun started setting around 3:30pm but at the hotel we got to enjoy the sun until after 5pm) The rooms were clean, warm and cosy, was worth every money. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, we felt right at home throughout our stay. Reception was warm and welcoming. The lounge area was cosy and warm near the fire place, good place to chill with a glass of wine. We found out the internet was only complementary in the lounge area and available to rooms at an extra cost. However, we didn't have problem with this at all as it has given us a real chance to get away from daily habits and have a truly relaxing holiday. The hotel has everything you would need for a true getaway. We loved staying at Hilton Queenstown. We won't stay anywhere else next time we come back here.

I went here for a conference last week and by the website it all looked lovely. In reality, it is spectacular, the room was beautiful, a balcony overlooking lake Wakatipo and the surrounded by snow capped mountains. There was an open fire adding great ambiance and extra warmth, it was literally freezing outside. The bed was king and so comfortable, the bathroom designed for two, all in all just a faultless room. Service by all staff was professional and friendly. The breakfast was also great, although like most of these hotels, pretty expensive, we got a deal for $25 so that wasn't too bad but $40pp otherwise. We ate in Stacks Pub one night, great food, ambiance, casual dining, really enjoyed it, although the cheapest bottle of wine is $62....
It's annoying that they do charge for wifi and it only allows for two devices, find that pretty incredible in this day and age, wifi should be everywhere! Two people in the room with laptops and phones made it difficult for us to both work. There is free wifi in the public areas.
The downside to this hotel is that is far from town, about 11 klms. First night in we caught a cab and it was $45!
There is a water taxi which is good and that is $10 each way so a round trip into town is still going to cost $40 per couple. The hotel offers a shuttle which is free but only hold maybe 12 people so if you don't book you miss out, the times for both of these services is spasmodic so ideally a car would be the best option.
The prices seemed pretty fair for the accommodation compared to the in town prices, I guess that is because it is far away.
I still would recommend to stay here despite the distance, it was a beautiful experience overall.

Room Tip: We were in room 707 so anywhere around that area, there looks like most of the rooms have a view.

Overall enjoyed my stay and would consider staying here again.
Pros: Great clean and spacious room with a fireplace. Best feature was the large modern bathroom with heated tiles, his/her basins, bathtub, decent shower and toilet. Continental buffet breakfast had a good variety and was delicious.
Cons: Wifi in rooms was at an extra cost. There was no self parking facility on site (only valet), however complimentary parking was provided at Kawarau Hotel (managed by Hilton)

My now fiancé and I stayed at the hilton for our 5 year anniversary recently. We booked a relaxation suite on the bottom floor which comes complete with a private hot tub for 2. The room was above standards, complete with a stand alone bath or rain shower and fire place to keep cosy in winter. We were very impressed by the room. The staff from check in were fabulous. Nothing was a problem and everybody was so helpful.
We ate in wakatipu grill for dinner and it was lovely the food was a very high standard and the service fantastic. We were originally seated by the fire but as it was too hot the staff moved the whole table for us where we were more comfortable. Again nothing was a problem and more than happy to help. It was such a wonderful weekend.
Overall I would highly recommend staying here. If you are looking for something a bit more than just a hotel but not quite a luxury lodge prices this is perfect.
