“Great location to learn to skate”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

Being in my golden years the first time l tried ice skating was at Queenstown Ice Rink and the assistance and advise was brilliant from a most helpful staff only too pleased to pass on their tips in keeping upright. A great place to take children to learn and have a coffee in the coffee shop will be back to watch the ice hockey.

“Great way to spend an afternoon”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

Skates were in great condition and the rink itself was almost empty on a Saturday afternoon - perfect conditions for very amateur skaters! Helmets turned out to be a must and they're provided free - you can also hire a push along penguin/seal to help keep you upright for a minimal fee. The boys hired frisbees from the desk and went outside to play frisbee golf which they loved leaving us girls to practise our Torvill and Dean routines. Huge fun.

“I learnt to skate!”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

It was a great ice arena. Not over-crowded like they normally are and no show offs that freak you out while you're learning. Great service and nice cafe area too.

Thanks for your great review! We are pleased that you learned how to skate here and enjoyed your experience. We've tried hard to create a unique atmosphere but at the end of the day there is no better thrill than learning how to skate!

This arena is wonderful, really big and well taken care for. They clean the ice every hour and the rental blades are in real good condition, I will probably go back every week.
