“Need some time to "mature"”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2014

Since the area is newly built, the tree lines and vegetation need some time to build. Now it looks like a residential project more than anything. The walk is not enjoyable because the walking path will cross the golf course (which is dangerous). Signage is not clear as well. The food in the club house is average but pricey.

“Definitely one of the most spectacular golf courses in the world”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 March 2014 via mobile

This is not just a great golf challenge but an incredible visual experience and while not cheap for a golf tragic well worth the money.
My advice is to be aware that it is very cold even in March in the mornings as the sun does not get over the mountains until around 10.30 from memory. So even if daily temps are expected to be in the mid 20s it will be 10c around 9am and if there is any wind can feel even colder.
The restaurant food and service are excellent with excellent vistas of the course and surrounds so allow time to enjoy after your game.
I've played many courses around the world and this is definitely worth the visit.

“Wow what a golf course!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 March 2014

I was the official photographer in our group of three playing golf. I thought the course was amazing in respect to photography. The boys playing thought it was a great course, but quite challenging at times. The views of all the mountain ranges were incredible. Totally loved the coffee, the blueberry muffin & sticky date muffin too, very naughty but nice! Oh and the log fires were very welcoming!

“Great course but expensive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 March 2014

This is an excellent, tournament style course close to Queenstown with fabulous view of the Remarkables mountains and Lake Wakatipu. Tiger rough in places so you need to hit straight and only play the back tees if you are a single handicap golfer. Beautiful club house that does a very good breakfast. However for NZ residents it is very expensive; NZD 195 pp includes buggy. Not so bad for rich tourists of course. If you can afford NZD400 for two of you to play a round then you should include it in your itinerary.

“Golf in paradise”

Great course set in fabulous countryside with stunning views. The course is a real challenge, well presented though at $175 quite expensive.
