We stayed in Distinction after booking a last minute stay at a great price. The price was for one of the garden view rooms, however upon arriving we had been upgraded to one of the shotover view rooms. This room was fantastic, large, comfy bed, nice spa bath - overall a great room with a great view.

The only downside was that we opted to stay an extra night due to the hotel being so good until this point, however we where downgraded to one of the garden stay rooms for our remaining night. Unfortunately the standards in these rooms wern't nearly as high. The beds where very hard and uncomfy, a bit noisy next to the small crowded car park, a small bathroom with a shower.

The facilities at the hotel where very good with a few hitches. The spa is very nice, the pool/steam room/ sauna where operating great.Unfortunately the Jacuzzi wasn't operating which was a shame. I did try out the Squash court which was great, the hotel rackets could do with being replaced as they have no grip.

Service was great. Location is a fair way out of QT (10-15 mins), but I like that.

Overall; The hotel was great value for what we paid, especially for a shotover view room. However the garden/car park view rooms aren't such good value. However this could be resolved with a bit of a make over, a lick of paint, a new matteress and brightening the bathroom up a bit. The difference between the two rooms was like staying in 2 different hotels!

Room Tip: If at all possible ensure booking one of the upstairs shotover view rooms.

Just wanted to say thanks for the amazing hospitality.

We stayed here 6 nights and couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. Hired a car and had a great time.

We got massages - great, we went for daily swims in the heated pool, used the gym, sauna and steam room, monsoon shower heads in the spa area, all excellent

Breakfast each morning in front of the fire was more than expected
The dinners we had there was also very good.
Used room service and made use of the cinema room without issue

If by any chance we are lucky enough to go back to Queenstown I would enquire availiability here again.

The whole crew there were amazing. Thanks all

Room Tip: You have to get a room looking over the river.

We were immediately upgraded although it was our first stay there. The room was spacious and very comfortable; and so peaceful being away from the hub of Queenstown. The staff were exceptional and I can not praise them highly enough. We will definitly stay there on our next visit to Queenstown.

Staying at Nugget Point was akin to living like a King! I Stayed for 7 days experiencing one of the most wonderful holidays I've ever had. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff, check in and check out was a breeze and the Hotel Manager, Andrew, was professional and diligent. The food was also a highlight. Having dietary requirements that sometimes make it hard to eat out, the chef paid special attention to my needs and every meal was a creative delight! I would wholeheartedly recommend Nugget Point to anyone wishing to stay a little outside of the town for its gorgeous views and scenery, especially from the River Rooms and Restaurant.

Room Tip: If you can afford the River Room option, you won't be sorry. Amazing views everywhere you look.

we stayed at nugget point for a week long yoga retreat. what a great setting! the staff bent over backwards to assist us any way they could. the food was awesome! we had shuttle service to town any time we needed it (how they ferried 19 of us around in various directions was like magic). they were friendly and professional at all times.
the rooms were gorgeous with large jetting spa tubs and balconies overlooking a spectacular vista of the Shotover river and mountains in the distance.

i would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: river view rooms face the river and the mountains offering a spectacular panorama
