Everything about this boutique hotel can be expressed in superlatives - it's location, views, scrumptuous breakfasts, uber-comfortable lounge, and more. But what really sets it apart from others is the gracious, helpful and informative guidance guests get from the hosts, Matt and Paul. With their uncanny knowledge of local places of interest, activities, wineries, restaurants, they can increase a visitors enjoyment manyfold. This is truly a special place.

Myself and my partner have just returned from our trip to Queenstown and we were absolutely blown away with everything about this property. I do not say this lightly (I have 15 years experience in the hospitality industry and both myself and my partner are qualified chefs) but The Dairy just speaks for itself. Matt and Paul, the managers of the property, have an excellent service standard and their charming personalities are really what made it for us. No request was too small, their knowledge of the area was amazing and just them being there to have a chat around the fireplace was so welcoming and warm. The property itself is kept in immaculate condition and the bed... oh my god....the bed was like a vortex of comfort that you just could not get away from!!! If you could pry yourself away then it was off to the outdoor heated spa with a fantastic view of the snow topped mountains or chess in the laviously appointed conservatory or to snuggle in the main rooms fireplace with afternoon tea provided... This gets me to the food. The breakfast that was provided was, in a word, LUSH!! I myself have cooked in Five Star restaurants and their efforts were on par with somne of the best early morning sustenance I have seen. Scones freshly baked in front of the fire with a nice cup of tea was a delight on not just the palate but the nostrils as well. The location is right on the border of the central shopping district and it only takes a 4 min walk to the heart of town but we heard next to no noise. My advice.... DO NOT STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!!! This is truly a gem and the level of service and comfort is far to rarely seen these days and you just should not miss this.

We decided to break an 11 day trip in a campervan and indulge ourselves for a night .What a treat ! A well appointed room with a stunning view of the Remarkables , a delicious afternoon tea and a sumptious breakfast. Our hosts were thoughtful and went out of their way to spoil us and the other guests. A quick walk up to the gondola or into town made it a perfectly situated hotel to enjoy all that Queenstown offers.

We just spent a week at the Dairy with our teenage children and everyone loved the experience. Matt and Paul work from early morning until late at night to create a perfect, relaxed and welcoming environment. The breakfasts are fabulous and returning to afternoon tea by the roaring fire after a day skiing is a special treat. The location is very convenient to town and transport to the mountains. This is the kind of place you never want to leave.

This is the second time we have stayed at the dairy and have been totally spoiled by it! The rooms are fantastically equipped, the breakfasts are amazing but the hosts are the best part. Nothing is too much trouble, serving you mulled wine in the hot tub is just part of the routine. A really relaxing and central place to stay, highly recommended.

This is a remarkable hotel with service that meets your every need. From the moment we arrived the hosts put us at ease with a cheery fireplace and glasses of New Zealand wines.
The food was gourmet. The staff helpful in every way. For the first time in years, we did not want to move on to the next place. Make this private luxury hotel a "must" stop during your trip to Queenstown.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Well located. 5 mins walk to the centre of town yet quiet at night. Breakfast was amazing - best bacon ever. Nothing better than to relax by the fire after a day of skiing with the gorgeous afternoon tea and mulled wine. We loved the hot tub. Everything is just so well thought out. Can't fault it. We will always stay here when we visit Queenstown.
