“cozy, beautiful, warm and inviting”
Reviewed 17 April 2012

I have no complaints whatsoever about this hotel. First off, the only thing I was worried about was that it did not appear to be right in the middle of all the action, well I can assure you it is. It was a short walk to the main eating/shopping area and a VERY short walk to the gondola and hike up the mountain.

This is not a typical hotel, it only has 13 rooms and you will receive service as if you were the only guest. Paul & Matt were the most helpful and enthusiastic hotel owners I have ever met.

And they cook! The breakfast was delicious and in a very cute nook overlooking the city, mountains and lake. It was unreal.

The rooms are impeccable, great views, comfortable beds, good showers, all the amenities.

The main room at the hotel entrance is a great spot to relax, listen to some Buena Vista Social Club (in the hotel collection), warm up by the fire and have some generous pours from the honesty bar!

We travelled to Queenstown over Easter and stayed at The Dairy. It was fantastic -the room, the service, the location, but wait there's more ..THE BEST EGGS BENEDICT in the world and comiing home to their afternoon tea with home baking in front of the log fire on a chilly afternoon. We also got excellent restaurant and travel advice.
We also met other wonderful travellers.
Matt and Paul are fantastic hosts where nothng is too much trouble.

Having travelled for over 25 years, The Dairy in queenstown is simply one of the most stunning properties I have ever stayed at; simply because of Matt and Paul who run this luxury boutique hotel in the most efficient, welcoming and warm way. I fell in love with The Dairy under different management many years ago, it has now been taken to a new level, congratulations to you, I hope you continue to thrive!

We stayed here in February 2012 for 3 nights. We have stayed here before and once again found The Dairy to be a wonderful experience. From the afternoon tea, to the "extra" cuppas, to the "spot on" recommendations for dinner and local attractions, Matt and Paul are both extremely hospitable and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts are just perfect. From the wifi to the log fire and the honesty bar, this is a place where you can really relax after a day's shopping and sightseeing. Situated very close to the centre of Queenstown this is a wonderful experience. Will be back yet again!!

A truly delightful experience!! My second stay at this first class botique facility. A friendly, unobtrusive service level that is only found in 5 star luxury brands. Knowledgable and capable staff make the stay in this extreemely comfortable hotel a memorable event.

This is really a fabulous place - just steps away from the center of town and the gondola, yet in a quiet neighborhood. The hosts/owners are wonderfully warm and helpful, while also staying out of the way. Breakfast is delicious too - and sitting by the fire at the end of a busy the day is just perfect!
