Queenstown was the last stop on our trip around NZ and what a spectacular way to end our experience with a stay at Eichardt's! As someone who works in the travel industry, this hotel had been highly recommended by several people and even still, it completely exceeded my expectations. The staff are extremely helpful, polite and polished without being over the top. The food and wine are superb. The rooms are beautifully furnished, cosy and luxurious with personal touches found in every corner. If you're looking to treat yourself, I could not recommend Eichardt's more highly. It's worth every cent.

The suite we had in this hotel was luxurious yet homely. Spacious and well laid out with a warm cosey decor. I loved the bathroom. It was very spacious and seperated from the bedroom by the dressing room/kitchenette so the person up early didn't have to wake the late sleeper. Most importantly, the shower was amazing. The thing I hate the most about so many so called luxury hotels is when they use low flow shower heads. I will reuse my towels for days to preserve water but I can't stand trying to shower under a trickle of water. It just means that I have to spend longer in it wether I want to or not. This shower was probably the best I have ever used.
The bed and bedding were luxurious and very inviting. However one day I needed a nap and my husband was on the bed watching T.V., I gathered a throw rug around me and settled on the couch in front of the fire. I soon fell asleep, hipnotized by the lovely fire and the view of the lake just across the road, from the windows beside the fire. I managed little time perusing the magazines provided. I have never taken so may photos of our accomodation before.
The fruit bowl was very welcome. Healthy snacks to take when heading off on a day of activities. It was lovely to have the very pretty and well stocked kitchenette for my regular cups of tea at odd hours and the biscotti provided was an irresistable treat to go with them.
The staff were very pleasant and personable yet very professional and helpful. They started to feel like friends after a couple of days.
The first night there we left a list of activities we hoped to do with the lovely young lady on the reception desk, then went and joined friends in the bar. She made all of the arrangements and came to check details with us as necessary. As a result, we managed to fit in all of the activities we had hoped to while the weather was good, enjoy our drinks with the friends we just happened upon and get to our dinner reservation on time. After that we felt we couldn't do better that to refer to these very helpful people for everything, and they never let us down.
The Bar come breakfast room was also a welcoming area with a great atmosphere and I thought the Bar/Wait staff uniform was outstanding.
We only wish we had more time there. There is so much to do in Queenstown and so many great restaurant to eat in. This hotel is in an amazing location where you can walk to every thing in about 2 minutes.
The time we spent in the Hotel itself made us feel very special and relaxed.

Wow, what can I say to that! lovely feedback thank you. Most gratifying is your comment on the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, that is what makes the difference from one hotel to the next and sets us apart from the pack. We work hard to provide the personal touch, great to hear we are setting the standard in this regard.

Sounds like we will see you again, I hope so!

Beautiful spot on the wharf, perhaps a little too easy to miss but please look out for this restaurant - amazing staff, sublime service from Andrew in the Restaurant and Bar. Excellent wine & beer selection, total class, total perfection!

Thanks for your feedback Claudia, I'm glad you enjoyed your experience with us. Our truffle salted chips (Jersey Benney potatoes are the secret!) are a favourite menu item for a lot of guests - perfect for snacking on!

Our recent stay at Eichardt's lived up to all expectations. The property had been recommended to us by friends and we were not disappointed. From initial booking enquiries through to the time we checked out, we were made to feel like valued guests. The view of the lake is breath-taking and made me far too relaxed to even consider an early morning dip! The location is perfect and not to far to bring shopping bags back before heading out again - and also close enough to have a glass of wine to recuperate! The food was exceptional and the wine list was well suited to the 5 star meals. We are looking forward to returning to Eichardt's and will be taking a helicopter flight to make sure that we don't miss out on a new perspective of Queenstown. Thanks again for making our stay so memorable.

Eichardt's Private hotel is located on the lake front next to the steamer dock. An older building it has been extensivly upgraded without losing the old world charm. The staff is friendly and accomidating. My suite was large, with a fireplace, view of the lake, and a wonderful bathroom with heated floor and towel racks. Everything in Queenstown worth seeing in only a block or two away. A big plus is reserved parking next to the hotel. Breakfast in the dining room was wonderful.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice. Size and view determain price. One of the public rooms is a second floor par...

Great to hear your feedback on the staff and service, we pride ourselves on looking after our guests to the highest degree.

Location is perfect for a city break, New Zealand is obviously famous for country lodges but we feel we deliver very much a lodge feel in a central spot, with shopping and 5 star dining on your doorstep.

All rooms in the hotel are suites, 3 with private balconies. The Parlour area is a beautiful lounge where you can sink into a deep chair and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet - we stoke up the open fire in the winter when the snow is falling outside its pure heaven!

Warm regards,
James Cavanagh

Glad you enjoyed your stay - and what fantastic weather we had, you must have brought it over from Australia! See you again once the ski season is firing, I'm sure we are in for a big one.

Feedback on the restaurant has been excellent this summer, we're thrilled to have our new exec chef Will Eaglesfield on board. The bar has really been humming, lots of people enjoying the summer evenings in the courtyard.
