“Wonderful Experience”

Everything about Gibbston House is so great. Me and my husband went Queenstown for our wedding, Gibbston house was absolutely an amazing place for us to stay and relax. Jenny and Dave are so nice and friendly. We are provided with delicious & massive breakfast in the morning, and came home with heater & lightings on, feel like home, actually even better than my own house. The scenery around the house is absolutely wonderful. You can see snow mountains in front of you, and vineyards surrounding you. We couldn’t stop taking photos outside and inside of the house, it looks unbelievable beautiful. We definitely come back if we come to Queenstown again.

Winda - Yourself and Jacky were so very welcome. We enjoyed meeting you, and seeing the detail that went into planning your wedding here in Queenstown. The weather wasn't kind to you, but you still managed to make it a very memorable time. Your wedding gown was beautiful! We look forward to seeing you again.

We came to Queenstown for the first time for a fortnight earlier in the year looking forward to some skiing and some much needed rest from life. When little to no dumps of snow came during our stay we had our most knowledgeable hosts to thank when it came to offering ideas of alternatives. Their ideas and experience of the area kept us busy with worthwhile activities.

Every room from the house frames a picturesque view, to the level that I plan to frame a few shots and mock-up the same window/view from my own home. Warm, modern and comfortable is how I would describe the accommodation and in the evenings it was a delight to share a meal or a local pinot with Dave and Jenny.

Not being fans of crowds we loved the fact that we could spend the days in the heart of town or on a popular ski slope but at night retreat to the valley. I made sure the family got an afternoon walk on the grounds each day which not only kept us well exercised but gave us constant photo opportunities.

We had a ball and will definitely use Gibbston House as a base for our next Queenstown Trip.

Thank you to the Ford family for your kind review. You can see why we love to live here, and share this area with our guests. Even though you didn't catch much snow, you certainly experienced much of what Queenstown has to offer, we had a lot of fun showing you around. We would love to have you to stay again.

We have previously stayed in Queenstown proper, but planned to have a couple of days having a serious look at the wineries of the Gibbston and Cromwell areas, on our way up to Christchurch. So we looked for something out of town. A perfect choice as it turned out. Jen and Dave have a beautiful house in a beautiful location where the outlook can only be described as stunning. There had been a light dusting of snow the night before we arrived and the mountains were just getting dressed. The second night was the first significant fall, about 4-6" and we awoke to a winterwonderland. The "house" is as stunning as the outlook, with central heating, underfloor heating in the beautiful ensuite, and huge rooms. We stayed in the Coronet Room, with views to Coronet Peak, and took advantage of Jen's offer to provide a dinner. We brought along some beautiful wines aquired during the day and shared the table with Jen & Dave for a beautiful warming meal of lamb shanks after soup and a wonderfully "unhealthy" blueberry something or other! with cream. Their knowledge of the area is excellent and recommendations for places to go and things to see were right on the mark. As the title suggests, you can only dream of a home like this, and the warm friendly welcome, by the hosts and their dogs was the icing on the cake. Thank you Jen & Dave for a wonderful stay. We WILL be back.

Thank you for your lovely review. We so enjoyed your company, as well as the opportunity to show you this fabulous region and all that it has to offer. You certainly made the most of your stay, and it was lovely that coming from hot and dry Perth, you were able to wake up to a 'winter wonderland'. We look forward to your return visit. Kind regards
