“Ok place in Queenstown”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 March 2013

We had an 'ensuite cabin' here which was a lot like a motel room with its own toilet/shower and a kitchen sink, refrigerator and cooking equipment. There was a communal kitchen nearby, but we went out to eat that night. The holiday park is near the center of Queenstown and near a grocery store, which makes it a good location. The room we had was rather dark, but seemed clean. It looked out on a nice yard, but the yard was full of tents. The campers walked back and forth in front of our sliding glass door. So, it was a bit of a cramped feeling. Queenstown gives you that feeling, anyway. It is not a pleasant town, although it surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery you can imagine.
So, if you have to stay in Queenstown, this is an okay place to do that. It wasn't cheap, but neither is any other accommodation here. You might try searching for holiday homes near Queenstown and stay somewhere outside of town, especially if you have your own transportation. We were on bikes, but we did manage to go about 10K outside of town and stay 2 days near Wilson Bay, which was beautiful, quiet and peaceful.

We stayed at Creeksyde for 2 nights. Park is definitely more suited to campervans. Pretty surroundings considering the number of vans it can accommodate. Disappointed that no area provided for kids to play (had to walk down to local school playground - obviously only available outside of school hours). Sites are fairly close together but this wasnt a problem. Amenities were all well maintained, modern and clean.
We noticed some sights were very close to amenity blocks which I would imagine could be disturbing at night time and some sights were very close to the campervan waste dump. We stayed by the creek and can recommend these spots.
We received a Top 10 Link card for 60 minutes free use of the internet however Creeksyde Top 10 is not part of this program.
Office staff only too happy to answer any queries.

We stayed for one night in a double cabin. We appreciated its location in Queenstown (an easy flat walk into town), spacious grounds, quiet environment and laundry facilities. The accommodation was without air conditioning and we were fortunate enough to be there when it was quite warm. It was clean and the bed was comfortable but it was much more dated than any of the other accommodation we stayed in during our time in New Zealand. The cabin itself was small but it had the sweetest private courtyard with a bench at the front.

We are very lucky to have such an ideal location in Queenstown, and it’s great to hear you enjoyed your time here.
These units have newer style furniture but we keep the decor to a more homely feel rather than been ultra modern. After all we want you to feel you’re in your home away from home! This unit’s courtyard is a great place to relax after a hard day enjoying all Queenstown has to offer!

four of us recently traveled to queenstown for a few days in campers. we called ahead to book and were quoted $20 per person, so we booked it in. we then arrived to find a line up in the drive way, we were glad we booked, however upon confirming our booking we were told the price was now $50 per van! sorry! deal with it mroe or less! we were there and it was central so we bit the bullet and stayed! the park was full! and i mean full they cram them in like sardines here! nothing at this park sets them apart from anyone else, other then that they are a green park! happily sign posted everywhere, we also found that most parks are trying to be green so this wasnt really a big claim! would i rate it! location was great everything else ! no

I am sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. Our rates are not worked out on a per person basis. Our rates are based on $50 for the 1st 2 adults in a van then extra adults at NZ$22. There is another TOP 10 holiday park situated approx 15 minutes drive outside of Queenstown who’s rates are around $20 person.
We realize that being green is a common claim these days, but we are still very proud that we were the first Environmentally Friendly Certified Holiday Park (by Green Globe) and are looking forward to celebrating 10 years of green initiatives this year.

We spent five weeks travelling the south island of NZ in a camper and spent two nights at Creeksyde in October 2012. We were initially a bit dubious about the high price of a powered site - at $49 it was one of the most expensive we stayed at during our travels, but on arrival we asked if we could take a look at their facilities before confirming our spot. I'd recently sustained a broken shoulder and using cramped showers or toilets was absolutely impossible for me with an arm in a sling! The girls on reception were happy to oblige and we could barely believe how fabulous the facilities were - all amenities blocks (and there were plenty) had keypad entry and we were directed to a unit that had disabled showers and toilets - both with plenty of space so we happily paid up to stay two nights.

The whole site was spotless, in a lovely garden setting within easy walking distance to the town centre and although it was busy it didn't feel overcrowded. Clever use of bushes and trees meant that each site still felt fairly private.

We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this site or staying again the next time we're in NZ.

Great location infact brilliant but it was at a price. The park was very clean had loads of amenities and had a real quirkiness to it. Loved it but being queens town it was costly, but then everywhere is.

We stayed 3 nights altogether at this camp. It was great with many querky designs and its location was great as it was within easy walking distance of town. I suppose the only negative points are that the sites are a little close together, the shower water pressure wasn't brilliant nor the hand driers. Overall though it was a great camp, especially the wonderful designs in the bath rooms!
