“Amazing hotel, great welcoming / helpful staff, amazing city”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

I spent five days in the amazing Queenstown city with my family (wife and 2 girls). The first impressions of the hotel were great: excellent rooms, clean, modern but cozy, everything working properly. And that staff helped us from the beginning till the end with all hotel facilities, advices for activities in the city, recommendations for shopping and eating, without being intrusive. Great balance. I have absolutely nothing to complain and totally recommend this hotel. Hotel breakfast is a great option to include when booking in advance; delicious and worthwhile.

Our family of 7 stayed for 5 nights at the Queenstown Park Boutique Hotel. We booked 3 rooms - 2 of which were interconnecting (& huge) on the ground level, and 1 for the older two girls which was upstairs. The hotel is small enough that we felt close, and it was easy to go between the rooms. The upstairs girls considered their room the best, as they could shower and gaze at the stars through the glass ceiling in their bathroom. Four of our group were skiing so they walked the 5min to the shuttle each day and used the drying room in the hotel so their gear was perfect each morning. For the remaining three of us, it was only a few minutes easy walk to the restaurants/shops/lake from the hotel. The hotel is lovely in every way. We weren't bothered by noise at all from any of our rooms; the beds were comfy; the drinks and canapés were a brilliant touch; the rooms were always warm. The standout is the level of service. I didn't book anything at all that we did in the week. I would simply say what it was we wanted to do that day and where we wanted to eat and it would be booked for us (that really made it an easy holiday for me). Re the evening canapés - 2 of the kids have serious allergies to dairy and nuts. As soon as that was known, it was organised for the next evening that there were safe canapés for them too!! That's service.

A really good property that offers very personalised attentive service. Room amenities were of an excellent standard. I would recommend only booking the Remarkables rooms which, unfortunately are not that many as they are the quietest and have a spectacular view.

Room Tip: Remarkables rooms are the quietest.

I cannot fault the service at this hotel. Fran, Karen, Marieke and Eduardo are wonderful hosts, and our every request was granted almost immediately. This is the ONLY hotel I have stayed in where I did not miss my own bed ! Transport was organised and executed perfectly. Drinks and Canapes every night was a highlight ...... especially as we were travelling with friends. Just like being in your own house, but with lovely helpful people to make our stay even more luxurious. We had the two bedroom Tower Suite with fireplace. It was perfect for a family of 4 (twin beds would have been better, but there is always a sofa bed if needed) Kids downstairs and our room was hidden away upstairs !. The living area is huge and the kitchen fitted out with everything we needed to make a quick breakfast in the morning (although the breakfast provided at the Queenstown Park was excellent too) 3 TVs to keep kids entertained when needed and the rooms were always warm and beautifully cleaned upon our return from skiing. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Queenstown, summer or winter. Location was a 5 minute walk to anywhere central, but far enough for peace and quiet at night.

Room Tip: Away from the road if you want total silence, but we were roadside and it made no difference to me.

We spent two evenings at this quirky boutique hotel close to the heart of the town.

We spent two nights at this establishment enjoying great service and hospitality.

The pre dinner drinks and canapés included is lovely in their funky sitting room.

We didn't have breakfast at the hotel.

Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom cozy and we'll laid out.

You need to take heed of the in floor heating and the climate control as the room can become too warm.

We stayed in room 12. This is an upstairs room which was well appointed. But ear plugs. Because of the external design of each of the upstairs rooms main Window and street boxer is amplified terribly. Being 100 meta from a busy youth hostel means you get all the nose of drunken teenagers wondering home after a night of paying. Maybe the downstairs rooms are quieter. .. I would from insist on rooms facing the football ground. I would imagine that they are significantly quieter. I don't mean to harp on about the nose. It is a lovely hotel but be prepared to get Woken continously if you don't wear easy plus going to bed.

My partner and I stayed here for three nights from Friday to Monday. Prior to even arriving in queenstown the staff at the hotel were very helpful via email correspondence. They arranged a corporate taxi to pick us up from the airport. The drive and the driver were both lovely, even stopping at some spots with nice views and taking photos of us!On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a lady who showed us around our room. The rooms were outstanding, generous size, beautiful decor and lovely views. We had breakfast daily at the hotel and the food was absolutely delicious! This was our first time in queenstown and I am very glad we picked this hotel. The staff were always happy to assist in anything from ordering taxis, to suggesting lovely restaurants etc. They were also more than happy to let us leave our luggage at the hotel after we had checked out so we could go into town before our late flight. Overall a wonderful experience, queenstown is a beautiful place and the stay was made even more enjoyable by a lovely hotel & friendly staff!

To be honest this place is all about personal touch, the people who work here are lovely people and have genuine interest in queenstown. They have canapés every night which I are delicious, the personal touch really brings the hotel to life. Everything about the hotel makes you feel at home. Definitely will suggest to give this place a try.
