Sorry but I just don't understand how this could be the best hotel in Queenstown. Had one room that was right up against the street with noise and no privacy (people walking by and looking in) . We were moved downstairs. I was very thankful but ultimately this room was just as noisy with people and cars going by right outside the room. The sink and toilet in the room are separated from the rest of the room by a sheer curtain so no privacy at all. Don't turn on the light in the bathroom at night if you want to avoid lighting up the whole room and having your bathroom activities on full display. Also, if you want fresh air, the windows do not open, only a door going out to a patio, which could not remain open at night due to security reasons. Bed was comfortable. Overall the hotel was overpriced considering other hotels we saw (and stayed in) in Queenstown. One last point. We met a couple in Abel Tasman who had just stayed at the hotel and were also disappointed given the great reviews they had read. Turns out we had the same experience. I think there are better places to stay in Queenstown
