Sorry but I just don't understand how this could be the best hotel in Queenstown. Had one room that was right up against the street with noise and no privacy (people walking by and looking in) . We were moved downstairs. I was very thankful but ultimately this room was just as noisy with people and cars going by right outside the room. The sink and toilet in the room are separated from the rest of the room by a sheer curtain so no privacy at all. Don't turn on the light in the bathroom at night if you want to avoid lighting up the whole room and having your bathroom activities on full display. Also, if you want fresh air, the windows do not open, only a door going out to a patio, which could not remain open at night due to security reasons. Bed was comfortable. Overall the hotel was overpriced considering other hotels we saw (and stayed in) in Queenstown. One last point. We met a couple in Abel Tasman who had just stayed at the hotel and were also disappointed given the great reviews they had read. Turns out we had the same experience. I think there are better places to stay in Queenstown

We stayed here for 2 days in December. The hotel is very central taking only 2 minutes or so to walk into Queenstown and it's a very attractive building with free underground parking.

The room that we had was really spacious and great in terms of its decor and facilities - couldn't really have asked for any more and we found the staff in the hotel to be really friendly and professional. It's an excellent place to stay.

My only "negative" about the hotel is that the rate is not cheap and yet the hotel still wants to charge extra for breakfast and this was one of the few places we found in New Zealand that tried to do this.

Because of this, we chose not to eat breakfast in the hotel but, instead, ate breakfast at the Vudu cafe in Queenstown which is fantastic :-) If the hotel put the breakfast into the rate then I think that would be more reasonable and would make it the perfect place to stay in Queenstown.

Fabulous place to stay. Very close to town and also very comfortable. They were extremely hospitable and warm. JACKIE and JOHN couldn't have been any more helpful. When we come back we definitely known where to stay already!

We had a lovely stay at QP Hotel. The location was perfect for access to nightlife and to the buses for skiing. The staff were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about Queenstown.

We stayed in the Queenstown Park Hotel for 3 nights following a recommendation from friends. The service is truly exceptional. John and Donna will go out of their way to book your restaurants (and make sure you have the best table!) and activities. They have tried all the different activities (although John make sure you tick off that missing skydive...) and can give really value-added advice in terms of what activity to go for and which operator to go with. The rooms are well-designed. Only minor negative point is that our room was close to the street and it is relatively noisy, so occasionally you are waken up in the middle of the night by returning party-goers in the street. For the rest we are all praise and would definitely come back.

This hotel is very close to the centre of town so very easy to walk to the shops and restaurants, underground, free parking provided.
The staff in the reception area are very friendly and efficient, but were let down by the staff at breakfast time who were pretty slow in serving us and seemed to forget one minute to the next, what we had ordered.
The Remarkables room we had is very large with a huge bathroom (but tiny toilet room), and very well equipped. We stayed only one night but I imagine that if you stayed here for a skiing holiday, it would be more than large enough. It was nice to be offered pre-dinner drinks and nibbles, much more personal than a large hotel.
