Good service. tapas were fantastic and very nice bar area around fire to enjoy the Queenstown ambience. Particularly recommend the coconut salad, the venison curry and the beef cheek wontons but everything was great. We shared a divine pudding-the chocolate chilli mousse.

The Spire really is an oasis in the heart of Queenstown... The warm, relaxed ambience provides a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of downtown in the midst of ski season, excellent food and drink presented beautifully and served with a smile. A perfect choice for a special dinner or just some quiet time out at any time of day - as the breakfast, coffees and tapas are all top notch too.

We went for dinner with a group of 25 or so friends. Nibbles were served first in the bar area -they were very tasty - light and mouthfuls of flavour explosions. The bar area is very stylish. The mains were served in the dining room. All delicious asian fusion cuisine. Service throughout the night was very good, especially given the size of the group.

Stylish bar with great atmosphere for the over 25's.... Worth a visit just for the Thai tapas in the bar. Food in the cosy, modern restaurant was of the same excellent standard. The food was matched by great service with a smile. One of Queenstown's hidden gems.

We discovered No 5 Church Lane as we wandered about in Queenstown one evening looking for somewhere that appealed for a light tasty dinner. We checked the menu outside on a table and also noticed "Bluff Oysters" and "Tapas" on the street sign and this inspired our decision to enquire about dining! On entering the restaurant it was so warm and inviting and we were swiftly shown to a table in the bar with incredibly comfortable seating. We proceeded to choose the "Bluff Oysters" which were delcious - if you are there when the oysters are in season, I seriously recommend you try them. My husband ordered them tempura style and I chose to have them natural with a Thai twist. We were not dispapointed and would have to say that the oysters were the best we have ever eaten. We ordered another selection of tapas and again the Thai fusion flavours were very unique and so delicious. Lucy our server, was outstanding in recommending choices from the menu. The barman was also aweome and very clever. He made a "sweet and fruity" cocktail mixed especially for my husband which he raved about, it was so good!. We enjoyed our meal so much that we decided to return the next evening to dine in the restaurant instead of the bar. Again the food was tasty and unique with beautiful flavours very delicately infused with an array of ingredients which worked extremely well together. The retaurant is perhaps not as easy to find as others as it is next to the hotel reception for the Spire Hotel. Seek it out if you are looking for somewhere with ambience, excellent service and interesting flavours - you will not be disappointed!
