Te Anau Kiwi Holiday Park
Reviewed 20 November 2013

This was our stop for our drive into Milford. The park is very close to the town center and has excellent amenities. There is a large lounge room where an open fire welcomes you. The kitchen is huge compared to other parks and has great appliances. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had 2 nights here and loved it.

Room Tip: If there's no fire going and it's cold just ask the staff. We did and within 5 minutes there...

Thanks for your kind review and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. The fire is a very popular place to hang out when it's colder outside.
Kind regards

Nicely landscaped holiday park. The facilities are in excellent shape. The showers and toilets are comfortable. There is a dumping station on site so you can refill freshwater and empty your waste tanks before heading to Milford Sound.

The Holiday Park is Located right in the center of Te Anau and shops are just within walking distance. THe reception can also arrange for Milford Sound bookings and this is the last stop before the 2-hour journey to Milford Sound

Room Tip: If you want a powered site closer to the toilets, go to the back of the cabins. Don't get the on...

We had time to visit each caravan park and settled on the Kiwi Holiday Park - Location was fantastic - close walk to to restaurants, supermarket and the lake. Price was worth it given the location. Facilities were great and the staff were all very friendly.

This is a beautifully kept holiday park. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The facilities are spotless. We stayed here for two nights in our campervan on a powered site. The sites are a good size with picnic tables. Price was good a welcome relief after the prices we paid in queenstown. Good supermarket nearby and you just cross the road and in the centre of town. A great base to explore Milford sound from. Our tour bus picked us up from reception. The ranch restaurant over the road is worth a visit also. Definitely recommend it.

We had booked to stay on a powered site here for two nights. We liked it so much that we extended our stay by another two nights and used this site as a base for visiting Milford Sound. The location of the site is excellent - the main street is just across the road. The facilities of the site are very good and we enjoyed meeting other guests in the large and comfortable lounge. But what sets this site apart is the helpfulness of the staff. It was very cold at night during our stay and the temperature in our camper van was uncomfortable. But the manager of the site had no hesitation in lending us an extra duvet (at no charge) for the duration of our stay. He did not have to do this and we were impressed that he was willing to do so.
