This was one of the best accommodation we had in NZ. The house is excellent having a wonderful view to Te Anau lake. The host (Doug&Lisa) welcomed us very well and gave us very good information. I will definitely return when I will travel again to NZ.

23 Paton is a lovely B+B. The bedroom is very comfortable with lovely views and the bathroom is very large with a bath and modern walk in shower. Doug and Linda are very hospitable hosts and are full of suggestions as to how to spend your time in Te Anau. Their home is spotlessly clean and is light and airy with wonderful views. The continental breakfast is excellent and Linda's muffins are delicious. I would thoroughly recommend this B+B to anyone who is looking to spend some time in the area. Te Anau is very central for visiting the many sights of Fiordland.

On a few days trip with friends around the South Island, we stayed for a night at the B&B of Doug and Linda.
The location, in a tranquil location just 5 minutes drive or a leisurely 10-15 min walk from the city centre, ensures a good rest and yet keeps you close to the dining places and the charming coffee shops.
It has been a very relaxing stay, due both to the fantastic hospitality of the owners and their excellent knowledge of the surroundings and to the very nice and spacious accommodation they offer. The views to the lake, from the bedrooms terrace and from the living room are stunning.
We left next morning regretting that our trip was so packed that we could not afford the time for an extra 2-3 days there.

Room Tip: Both rooms are excellent. If I really am to choose, I would pick the twin beds one just because of t...

We’ve ben in NZ for 10 days and this was one of the best accommodation. The house looks wonderful. Is quite new, it has a stunning view and the host made us feel like we were at home. The breakfast was delicious and we had some very interesting conversations with the hosts. We actually changed our itinerary based on those conversation. If we ever go back to NZ this will be the first accommodation that we will book. Also I would recommend to stay in B&B while in NZ. The people there are quite wonderful and helpful.

This has been the most adorable bed & breakfast I had during my four weeks in NZ! The hosts Linda and Doug are very obliging, they got a very fine house, our room had a terrace with a brillant view, the bathroom was five star luxurious and the breakfast was phenomenal.
Perfect place before or after "Milford Sounds".
Thanks Linda and Doug!

Thank you Doug and Linda for a lovely two night stay at your home. This place is a definate must if you are visiting Te Anau. The hosts are so warm and really make you feel part of the family. Their knowledge of the area is extensive and the accommodation is just right. It was sooo nice to have a wallow in a deep bath, rare in New Zealand B&B's. Linda even did my washing for me - thank you both. We will certainly be back!
