Milford Sound is a definite must. A truly spectacular part of the world.
My husband and I drove from Queenstown, amazing scenery along the way. We opted for the sight seeing cruise with a buffet lunch - highly recommended.
Before boarding the cruise we took a walk along the shore line and snapped up some amazing photos.
Milford Sound was used in the Alien Covenant movie.
It is a breathtaking place, has a harmonious and tranquil atmosphere. A place to truly forget all the troubles in the world!

Thanks to Trips & Tramps for organising this wonderful cruise on Milford Sound. It didn't matter that it was freezing cold and wet, every second was enjoyable!

I'd recommend a cruise to see right out to the ocean. It's just beautiful! And there's lots of lookouts/walks/hikes - so much exploring to be done.

Undoubtedly a most magnificent place to visit. It poured with rain the day we chose to go but it didn’t take away the sheer rock faces and the fact that the whole place was originally carved out by glaciers - and it’s awesome! The rainforests, the waterfalls, the windy road to reach the village at the end - the tunnel (only finished in 1991!), the waterfalls and the Kea (lovely flightless parrots) was all worth it in the rain!

We went on a tour of the Sound. Wow, the waterfalls were glorious. Large and small as the water cascaded down the Alps. We saw some Seals and some people paddling in their kayak's. A great experience.
