“One night not enough”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 December 2013

Due to our busy visit we only manged to spend one night with Wendy and Roger. The room was great with outstanding views across the lake to the mountains. Breakfast at a shared table with the other guests was very good and Wendy's recommendation for dinner (The Redcliffe) was excellent

We stayed here for only 1 night in November. We couldn't have asked for a better B&B to start our South Island experience with. Roger and Wendy were superb hosts and ever so obliging (as we didn't drive, Roger even came to pick us up from the Inter-City bus-stop in Te Anau).

Breakfast was lovingly prepared by the talented Wendy who turned out to be an amazing baker too. Her chocolate chip cookies were well-appreciated by my partner and I during our long day journey to Milford Sound.

The modern ensuite room was spotless, comfortable and armed with an amazing view. Would highly recommend this B&B for couples.

Lovely and spotlessly clean rooms. We stayed in their largest which has a spa bathtub, but all the rooms are beautiful with wonderful views across the lake. Charming hosts with great local knowledge. We recommend Dunluce without reservation to anyone coming to Te Anau.

We thoroughly enjoyed the short time we spent at Dunluce. The room was beautiful with amazing views and Wendy and Roger are friendly hosts. We were only with them for one night (we both wished we'd had the chance to stay longer) and enjoyed the excellent breakfast prepared by Wendy and Roger's excellent advice about where to stop off on our drive to Milford Sound. Dunluce is top of our list of places to stay on our next trip to New Zealand!

...thats what you will say when you draw open the curtains next morning. A 'wow' expansive uninterrupted view across the lake and the mountain range and if you are lucky a rainbow or a double.
Clean fully functional modern property/hotel style room. Brekkie is in a common room with other guests where stories and advice is exchanged. The hosts adding in the knowledgeable touches. Continental or cooked breakfast both excellent ways to start the day (to Milford Sound). Easy access to the Milford highway and into town.. Dunluce is on the edge of town. Many restaurants in town. Roger and Wendy know how to run a BnB and it shows in the nice touches and the little extras including a cordial atmosphere. But if there is a drawback it would be morning drink.. I rise early (5:30) and like to start the day with a coffee in the room; I could have sat outside in the forecourt of the room. No beverage options in the room. I sure was not going looking for it elsewhere when the house was asleep. The first place in NZ we did not have to climb a mountain to get anywhere - lol.

Room Tip: Ask Wendy for some of her anzac cookies and Roger to show you the car he is restoring.

Many thanks to Wendy and Roger for the warmth and special touches they supply in this wonderful B@B. The view was spectacular and the room spacious with everything you could require.Wendy makes lovely biscuits and the dining room is always stocked with all your coffee and tea making needs.Wendy encouraged us to eat at The Redcliff which was one of the best meals we have ever enjoyed.Always helpful yet not intrusive we found our stay to be very enjoyable. Thank you Wendy and Roger.

Room Tip: All rooms have a great view
