A busy place, with much more a pub than a restaurant feel. All a bit blokey - including waitresses in low-cut tops. Food-wise, roasts pretty good - in terms of quantity, quality and value (about $20 each midweek). Fish and chips steep at $36 in this setting. At that price I'd recommend the Redcliff or Keplers instead. Pavlova disappointing - meant to be a hallmark of NZ, distinctly underwhelming here. Service pretty good, beer and wine fine. All in all, ok, but nothing special.
