We booked the cottage which actually turned out to be a luxury almost new fully equipped bungalow. We joined Pauline and Bruce + 2 other guests for wine on their patio overlooking the gorgeous garden on the cliff edge. Basic breakfast equipment, cereals, juices etc were in the fridge. We would have loved to stay for a few days. We would recommend the lively pub a few yards down the road where we had a great meal and chatted to the locals.

This place is a standout for value. We booked the cottage which is spacious, well equipped, immaculately clean and has the most amazing views of the ocean at the end of a very pretty garden. Breakfast provisions are basic but enhanced by a bowl of home grown tomatoes, absolutely delicious. The hostsare very welcoming and the little dog adorable.

We stayed in the cottage at Steeples- it was lovely. It was so clean, comfortable and spacious with everything that you could possibly need. The views from the cottage were outstanding and the cliff top walk was superb. What a stunning coastline this is. We met our hosts, Pauline and Bruce briefly on our arrival, and they were very friendly and helpful. We couldn't fault the accommodation or location.

We couldn't get access to the internet during our stay in the cottage (normally that would be a good thing I suppose!) but we did need to gain access fairly urgently so we rang Pauline's daughter (who lives down the road) and she made us feel very welcome and was more than happy for us to use her wi-fi. We ate a good meal at the pub down the road and were made very welcome once again. We would really love to stay at Steeples in the future and as a previous reviewer has said, would detour to stay here again.

We stayed in the Cottage. If 'cottage' provides visions of well worn accommodation, think again. This is a very modern, single storey purpose built and very spacious with panoramic windows from kitchen, lounge and bedroom with uninterupted views across the garden to the sea which the property fronts. Taken aback by the quality of furniture and utensils provided. Unlimited and free cable internet available. Juices, condiments and breakfast cereals provided are well beyond the range of any similar establishment in this sectot I've stayed in. You walk out of the patio doors to your own deck with garden furniture in the garden.
This really is luxury and in my view woefully underpriced for what you get.
The hosts are friendly and very helpful and knowledgable. You can walk out of the front door to the lighthouse at Cape Foulwind and then walk along the cliff top path for 40 minutes to the seal colony. There is a pub 3 minutes walk away where the sister of the proprietor is the cook, very friendly and good value food in a very friendly environment. (They even phoned up the cottage one night as they thought they had overcharged me!).
There is also a studio, behind the cottage, but seemed much smaller and did not have the garden and views.I would heartily recommend you take the cottage, this really is exceptional quality accommodation and fantastic value for money.

We stayed in the studio cottage. Everything was very clean, new and semi-luxurious. The bed was large and very comfortable. The cottage looked incredible. The gardens and views at Steeples are beautiful. Free wireless is a great bonus. The owner was very nice. We can't wait to go back!

Steeples Cottage, Studio and B&B is located just overlooking the "Steeples" rock formations jutting from the sea at Cape Foulwind -- a simply stunning location, with a gorgeous flower garden and wood deck to relax in. Our hosts, Pauline and Bruce, were just great; they were so friendly and hospitable, we felt so very welcome -- like good friends or family rather than paying guests. They sat right down to chat with us in their living room, offering us drinks and helping us feel relaxed after a long day's drive. The kitchen was available for our use at any time. Our room was clean and comfortable; quite cozy and warm too, though gale-force winds for which Cape Foulwind was named shook the house at night. (We did not have the opportunity to see the Cottage or Studio.)

Breakfast was generous and delicious, including home-grown produce and fresh-from-the-hen eggs.

We also dined at the local Bay Front Cafe, a marvelous experience in itself. The Seal Colony is within walking distance.

We hope to spend more time exploring this area someday, and would definitely stay here again.
