Angele and Phillipe do everything here to perfection, modestly creating delightful treats for all the senses...you can hear the crack of toffee as you bite into a perfect toffee choux, smell the butter, pastry and armagnac, taste the care taken in every mouthful.

Croissants are real, the bread is perfect and you'll be surprised at the beautiful little secrets that are here. If you can pronounce it, then magnifique is a pertinent descriptor.Another Regional surprise west of the Great Divide.

Tried to come here last time we were in Bathurst, but unfortunately were too late as there wasn't much left. We were finally successful this time- I had a magnificent date, creme Broulee tart- not too big, perfect crisp, pastry and lovely filling.
My husband had a tomato & zucchini Quiche, he loved it. He also loved his coffee.
The only criticism was- I like my hot chocolate's, Hot, unfortunately for some reason many cafes serve it warm, as was the case today. Other than that, it was not too sweet, just how I like it.
My fault, I must remember to ask for extra HOT! Will be back!

This places rocks. The pastry is delicious, fillings plump but not over the top. Pies are just superb. Oh, and the coffee is great too!

Well! It is never an option to go anywhere else before Legall when you visit Bathurst. It is indeed a high point of the day whenever I go, which is never often enough. I usually grab some takeaway treats for lunch, but have had coffees & cakes there as well. Never had a full meal there although I have no doubt it would be as good as the treats. Who needs to go to Paris?

This has to be the best patisserie west of the Blue Mountains, and quite possibly east as well. The pastries are beautifully crafted, and consistently delicious. Our choice yesterday was the almond and raspberry tart - it was magnificent - not too sweet, and delicate of flavour. The coffee is of a high standard, and the service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike.
