Christine and Tanya, made us feel very welcome, also gave great local advice on restaurants and cafes, which all surpassed our expectations. We will definitely be returning to Bishops court.A worthwhile underrated attraction in Bathurst is the Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum, very educational with some amazing exhibits.

Room Tip: all rooms are very good

I had the most magical small wedding at this magnificent accommodation four years ago - so it felt right to come back and visit again on our wedding anniversary. Christine greeted us with the warmth and loving spirit she is well known for - and it felt like coming home. Christine had organised dinner at Cobblestone Restaurant for us that evening which was excellent. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic as we chatted to the other guests who also were glowing of this magical place and Christine's hospitality. Thanks again Christine for your special pampering, its always lovely to catch up with a good friend, which you certainly have become to us both. xo

Room Tip: All rooms have their own special charm, but I especially love Harmony as it gives me access to the b...

Thank you to Christine and her great team for an amazing stay. A beautifully furnished property that embodies true style and grace. Peace and soul nourishing tranquility envelopes you as you enter and makes it very difficult to leave. We loved our time at Bishop's Court and plan to return time and time again.

I had seen this property advertised in Australian Country Style for the past 10 years and it was on my 'must-do' list. The danger of looking forward to something so much is that there is a chance you will be quite disappointed when the reality doesn't match the marketing. You will not find that the case here! From the moment you walk in you are welcomed and made to feel as though your stay is special (whatever the purpose of it - business, kid's sporting events in town, or pleasure). Christine introduces everyone as they arrive (if you are around) so that there is a friendly and cordial atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble and nothing has been overlooked. The rooms are out of this world gorgeous and comfortable and I could have happily spent all weekend reading on the upper deck.

We had booked into a local restaurant on Saturday night and chose to have Christine cook for us Friday night and have our meal in the chapel. It was a meal and a setting never to forget - beautifully glazed pork (the meat delivered that afternoon) and a bottle of local wine. It is not inexpensive, however I would challenge anyone to provide a more flavoursome meal and beautifully presented surroundings. I would definitely do it again.

I have no idea where Christine finds her energy, passion and enthusiasm, but it never wanes and she is there to ensure you have an absolutely wonderful weekend. I have nothing even approaching negative to say and I would recommend this beautiful place to anyone.

Room Tip: There is only one room with an ensuite. However each room has its own private bathroom a short walk...

Lord Bathurst and I spent three wonderful nights at Bishops Court, where we received a delighted welcome from Christine (and the cats!) and were treated as family & friends for our entire stay.
The bedrooms were beautifully furnished, the bathrooms had every luxury and one swiftly felt as if one was at home - comfortable enough to pad around gently with no shoes, enjoy the freedom to explore the stunning garden, and to play with Chocolat and Latte the characterful and charming Burmese - it was an instant relax.
Every little thing was remembered - no small favour too difficult - no stone unturned to make each guest feel as if they were the most important person on the planet.
Chris is passionate about her home - about the wonderful history and character of every brick - and has the magical touch of making it seem absolutely effortless, (where the exact opposite is really the case, such attention is paid to every quarter.).
Not only that, Chris is also passionate about the city of Bathurst, it's heritage and history, and maintaining the character of this wonderful town that bears our name, holding such a special place in our hearts.
Her cooking is second to none, her staff an absolute delight, and to be honest, we were very reluctant to leave.
Thank you dear Christine for making us feel so loved - we cannot wait to return to you in time for the Bathurst 200 celebrations in 2015. xx

The ambience and food at Bishop's Court is second to none. Chris is a thoughtful host who makes sure that guests are very well cared for. The way the accommodation is presented creates a haven for guests and dinner and breakfast were outstanding. It's the combination of a caring host, delicious food and beautiful surroundings that makes Bishop's Court a wonderful retreat for guests.
