This is close to the worst property my family and I have ever stayed in. Gives Bathurst a bad name.

On check-in, a simple mistake on the online booking form had the owners accusing me of fraud, right to my face.

Then, the "heritage cottage" they gave us to stay in was dingy, poorly furnished and had tiny, inconvenient rooms. Uneven floors caused my son to fall heavily. The house fronted right onto the street so was extremely noisy.

At 6.30am, a whole line of trades men's vans parked 10 feet from our window, with slamming doors and moving of equipment. Shortly afterwards they started working on an extension of the same motel which was going up directly behind our accommodation. At 7am, noise started from this worksite. No mention of the fact that we were staying in the middle of a building site was made at any time when we booked or checked in.

To add insult to injury, on check-in we were told that the car park for the property was unavailable and we would have to park directly on the street. As we had already paid for our stay, we had no choice but to accept this.

The final indignity was that when we complained to management about all these matters, they agreed that their behaviour was poor and the worksite noise and lack of parking was unacceptable, but still refused to compensate us in any way or even offer a simple apology for our experience. Overpriced, poor quality rip-off. I wouldn't go near the place.

We stayed on a Saturday night on our way home from Victoria. The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, with very good quality furnishings. The shower was over a spa bath which may not suit everyone if there is a mobility problem. There was a comfortable sofa on which to relax, Free wireless internet was advertised, but my laptop would not connect. The tariff for a Saturday night was $150 with no discount for NRMA or Senior's card. Our ground floor room was nearest to the road and we thought we might have been bothered by traffic noise. But, once we shut the door it was very quiet. The complimentary newspaper and continental breakfast in the breakfast room were appreciated. There are no specifically allocated parking spaces so it is possible your car space may not be closest to your room. First in gets the nearest spots. On our visit the weather was dry so it did not matter.

Stayed 1 night for business

Bit far from town if walking, short drive to everything

Pros,
Clean and tidy, nice size TV, good aircon, good value for money, good service, nice and cosy.

Cons
Breakfast included but didnt offer any hot food and most was gone by the time we got there.
Parking fills up fast, bit far to walk to pubs and restaurant .

Room Tip: top floors are good

This is a clean neat modern hotel in Bathurst.i was greeted with a name and smile on arrival, even though I was later than my estimated time. Management was friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean. Shower was clean, hot with plenty of pressure. Continental breakfast was sufficient, with all you would expect.

The Bathurst Heritage Motor Inn is apparently the newest motel in Bathurst. I stayed here for two nights on business in the area.
The room I had was OK but soulless and had a strange smell and a noisy air conditioner.
The location, despite what has been suggested by a couple of previous reviews, is quite noisy with passing trucks using there compression braking throughout the night. I was woken multiple times and consequently did not sleep well at all, despite the bed being quite comfortable.
Also when I returned to my room at 5pm or so after the day out my room was not made up.
On the plus side, the shower was quite good and the free "continental" breakfast was OK except for the usual dreadful motel coffee.
I would suggest if staying in this area drive 45 mins up the road to Orange which not only has a nicer feel as a town but also has some much better accommodation choices.

Good location, friendly staff, good size rooms. Breakfast is included, not a big selection but ok.
Front rooms can be a little noisy from the road traffic. When we checked into our room we found that the fridge wasn't working, owner was quick to fix this problem
Overall a nice clean hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room down the back as it can be a little noisy in the front rooms from the road, lots of t...
