“Great to see the operation”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

I used to work for the Ambulance service in Victoria and often used the services of the RFDS, the tour was good and informative and we were taken to the hanger to see the work being done on the planes to modify them for our conditions. Seeing the dispatch room was also great.

“Amazing and informative”
Reviewed 29 April 2014 via mobile

I visited this place on Saturday during long weekend leaves, entry fee 7$ worth for the information and displays for visitors. Nice briefing by lady who did work there for 29 years. Quite intersting because earlier flights did not have much of navigations then also they flew day and night to save lives of people living in outback and travellers. Good work guys really appreciated !! Must visit and quite educational for young ones.

“Enjoyable little sidetrip”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

Like others here, we were misled by bad signage (why on earth do they have a large "RFDS visitor centre on the side of the domestic terminal, 200m from the actual visitor centre?) but once corrected we had no further problems. The tour guides were great, the museum compelling and highly interactive and of course there is a great story to tell. One of the best things to do in Broken Hill that we found!

“Great Broken Hill visit”
Reviewed 26 April 2014 via mobile

This was an unexpected highlight of our visit to Broken Hill. A bit hard to find at the airport, ignore the first building with RFDS sign and keep driving. Interesting display, video and hanger visit. Very helpful staff and bountiful shop.

“Very interesting”
Reviewed 25 April 2014

A little better signage would be good as we parked at the first visitor's parking and found ourselves inside the airport terminal! But the actual centre was very informative, a great little guided tour, an interesting video and lots of information to read in the museum.
