We were two couples and found BelleLaRue ideal. The cosy gas log fires and underfloor bathroom heating were most welcome on the cold nights. All the fittings, from furniture to kitchen utensils, were of really good quality. The quiet street was the prettiest in Orange and very close to the park and shops and restaurants. We'd love to stay again
We had not been to Orange for 40 years. The town surprised us clean modern good choice of restaurants and coffee. Wines were far better than we thought it is a growing go ahead area.
The accommodation was clean uptodate and wonderfully refurbished. The owners were extremely helpful and pleasant to talk to. We were only 500 meters from the town close to Cook park and golf course. A brisk walk in the morning was enlightening and close to everything especially a coffee in the chill.
We will be back next but will book directly with the owners to stop fees from this site.
So much more than we were expecting, Belle La Rue is a luxury home in a great location in Orange near Cook Park and just around the corner from Byng St Cafe. The house has been very tastefully refurbished throughout, keeping its traditional feel while being beautifully appointed with all modern amenities. I want the kitchen in my place!
There are a couple of lovely living areas, 3 comfortable bedrooms and did I mention the kitchen?
A perfect self-contained home away from home.
My husband I, plus another couple recently stayed for the weekend at Belle La Rue House on Sampson St. From the moment that we arrived we were impressed. We have stayed at a number of houses in Orange (some a lot more expensive) and this is by far our favourite.
The hosts will do more than the norm to make sure your stay at Bella La Rue & Orange is something to be remembered. Its super clean and homely. The beds are the best you'd find at a 5* Resort. The same with the linen!
The kitchen is decked out with everything you would need. We didn't do any cooking at the house, as its super close to the restaurants for Friday and Saturday evening. Then in the morning we'd go for a walk and have breakfast at one of the many great options around.
I am looking forward to staying there again. Hopefully over winter and we can get the fire up and running.
Thank you Deirdre & Randell for being such wonderful hosts
This is a beautiful home located in one of Orange's most lovely streets, a minutes walk from Cook's Park and a few blocks from the main shopping area. We strongly recommend a walk in this area as there are many traditional homes in this location and Cook's Park is beautiful. The house has everything you need including a large country kitchen. The beds are very comfortable with ample room and storage. There are two well presented bathrooms (one with a spa) and two lounge areas with ample room to sit and chat. We appreciated the many TVs which are in the bedrooms and both lounges as everyone could watch what they preferred. There is a deck out the back and although there are neighbours, this area was very private and relaxing. There is also a good size laundry. The owners have created a true traditional country feel with the furnishings. Everything was in great condition and the property was very clean. We were there in extremely hot weather (40 degree temps) and the house was a welcome relief as it was very cool inside. This was the second time we have stayed here and it will be our first choice when we return to Orange. The owners were very welcoming and nothing was too difficult for them.
