“So sad to leave”
Reviewed 9 April 2014 for a stay in March 2014

This place is beautiful. We stayed in the Summer Spa House, which is prettily decorated, spacious and had such a homely feel. I cannot praise it enough for the elegant architecture, and I especially loved the small windows sectioned at the tip, you can see the stars before you sleep from the comfort of the bed.
The breakfast was a nice variety and very filling. The owner was pleasant, you can tell that she puts a lot of love and care into the property.
We were provided with complimentary wine, chocolates and port. Such a sweet gesture, I would expect this at a high class hotel and was pleasantly surprised that this was provided. The property is gorgeous and in the morning, it is a radiant sight to behold.
I just simply cannot commend the place enough, I have never stayed anywhere as comfortable and lovely.
I normally have difficulty sleeping and have a fractured sleep when I stay in a bed that is not my own. I did not wake up once, I was so at ease. My partner shares my feelings of satisfaction for our stay here. I really was very sad to leave.
We are a young couple, and felt so satisfied with our stay that we were compelled to leave it spotless when we left as we felt it was like our home by the end of the stay.
Once again, thank you so much for a pleasant weekend, we will definitely return in the foreseeable future. We stayed here 3 weeks ago and have been reminiscing since.

“Would like to come back soon”
Reviewed 17 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

We stayed in the Summer House Studio Spa, which was perfectly private, and well equipped with everything we needed for the weekend. We really enjoyed our stay, and just wished we could stay longer to enjoy the spa and pool. Thank you for the complimentary sparkling wine, chocolates and port. We also had a lovely afternoon at the Ivanhoe Winery enjoying their wines and cheese plate. We would love to come back soon.

“Amazing place”
Reviewed 14 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

Booked this place through Wotif.com on the move... Not sure what to expect. The owner is lovely, she was very helpful. The room we stayed in (Chianti room) was very clean, spacious and comfortable - there was a complimentary bottle of her wine in the fridge. Breakfast was superb. Everything was wonderful. Wish we could've stayed longer. Would definitely recommend this place

“Perfect Location”
Reviewed 25 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We stayed in the "Eastern Room" for two nights 19/20th December 2013. Raylee and her mother were excellent hostesses and helpful with any sightseeing suggestions. The room was large and clean with a small balcony giving views over the gardens and lakes. Wine and chocolates in room on arrival - most welcoming. The buffet breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and a decent cup of tea!
You have to travel into town for an evening meal but we can recommend Blaxland's Inn as they provide a courtesy vehicle to pick you up and drop you back.
We did the "Two Fat Blokes" winery tour and can highly recommend this for an entertaining 3 hours.

“Perfection in the Hunter Valley”
Reviewed 7 December 2013 for a stay in December 2013

I recently won a 2 night stay in Willow Tree's 'French Room' The room itself is spacious and pretty with a balcony overlooking the front lawns and the lake.. Raylee is welcoming and friendly with great knowledge of the area.. I especially loved breakfast, relaxing by the pool and waking up to gorgeous sunshine and the sounds of nature.. I recommend a stay in this stunning house next time you're in the Hunter Valley <3

“Lovely and Tranquil”
Reviewed 28 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

My husband and I stayed at the Willow Tree four nights in October, 2013. We had flown in from San Francisco that morning and rented a car, driving directly to Willow Tree Estate so we were really tired, plus the weather was quite warm. The owner, Raylee, showed us to our room and suggested a swim in the pool to relax. The water was cool and the pool was spotless, a wonderful experience! We had a spacious room with beautiful linens. This country inn is in a lovely location, very peaceful. We had a car so driving was no problem. Raylee was a delightful hostess, helping us with reservations and suggestions of what to do. She even contacted driving services for winery tastings and restaurants so we were picked up at the Willow Tree in the morning and returned there late afternoon. This is one of the inns that serves a fantastic breakfast. Not to be missed! After four days we needed to do laundry and she let us use her washer, really above and beyond the call of duty. We hung the clothes outside and they were scented with fragrant, flowery air. A fantastic value with lots of perks! And personalized care. A happy experience!
