“Great retreat in Hunter Valley”

Rooms are very aesthetically furnished and comfortable. We stayed in the Merlot suite - lovely view of vineyards, comfortable bed, lots of freshly laundered towels and great shower! Didn't see the owners at all but we were only there for one night and there was plenty of information left at reception and in the room. Very picturesque, would recommend.

Just had a great two night stay at Villa Provence. We stayed in their studio room. It had been refurbished since our last stay and was an amazing surprise. They have really captured the idea of a provincial French stay. As usual we loved the location, the staff are great and helpful and the view was perfect from our balcony. We will be planning our next stay soon! Good luck Jo on the rest of the renovations - you are doing a fantastic job!

We also thought Villa Provence represented excellent value with a two night, mid-week stay plus a bottle of wine for $149. We found the kitchenette very convenient and chose to eat lunches at restaurants and eat dinners in our unit as we had all the utensils and a microwave and dining table. We appreciated the space afforded by having separate living and bed rooms and the lovely views over the vineyards from our upstairs unit.

Location in Gillards Road right in the centre of the Pokolbin area was excellent with convenience to restaurants, shops and cellar doors.

Only minor criticisms were that we thought a separate heating device in the living room in addition to the air-con in the bedroom would have been good as well as a king bed instead of a queen and a better shower rose please.

But overall we would definitely consider another stay at Villa Provence.

We left this morning after two pleasant days. Value for money on Cudo Voucher for two nights couldnt go wrong. Comfortable accommodation, friendly staff, well located to good restaurants, Hunter Valley Gardens and many wineries. Found the suite clean and tidy, with seperate lounge, kitchen with microwave no stovetop or oven so our recommendation is take what you need for breakfast if you dont want to go out early. We had very pleasant views over the vineyards from our upstairs suite.

This lovely little place may not be to everyone's taste. It is a touch quirky and, yes, it could do with a coat of paint BUT ..... what a restful, comfortable, welcoming and convenient place to stay with wonderful views over the vineyards and the valley.

The rooms are generous. Queen bedroom, crisp sheets, warm doona and 3 pillows per person! Separate living area with sofa,TV, table and chairs. Small but well equipped kitchenette (are you really going to cook??) neat, clean bathroom with generous fluffy towels and L'occitane toiletries. Located in the heart of the wine tasting area just minutes to everywhere!!

I thought this place was delightful, quirks and all!!

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms have a great view.

We have stayed at Villa Provence twice, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay !

The accommodation was very spacious with separate large bedroom, separate large lounge/dining area, great functional kitchen and large bathroom, along with a balcony if you are on the top floor.

Both times we stayed using a voucher deal, excellent value for what we paid.

Proximity to local Restaurants and Vineyards is only a few minutes away.

We'll look forward to staying here again, it's relaxed, laid back & casual. The owners are obliging & pleasant. Overall comfortable and great value for the dollar.

We arrived quite late for our stay and there was a note on the front desk to say our key was just on the table in our room. The rooms are a decent size but not overly clean. There is cutlery and glasses provided, but they were dirty so needed a good wash which was strange as there is a note advising of a 30 dollar wash up fee if you leave dirty stuff.

Sleep quality was very good and the building is a nice southern French style villa. We'll be going back in summer to spend some time next to the pool in between vineyard visits.

Room Tip: Don't move the furniture if you don't want to see the dead caterpillars
