We found Spicers Vineyards Estate on Trip Advisor after searching for a one night stay in the Hunter Valley to celebrate our anniversary. We purchased an "Midweek Overnight Mini break" package which included one night's accommodation in a King Room, bubbles, beer and nibbles on arrival, 3 course dinner in their onsite restaurant "Botanical" and a Parisian breakfast. As soon as we arrived we knew we were in for a treat - the reception staff member Rhiannon was a delight and is a real credit to this business along with every staff member we came across. Although we were checking in at the same time as other guests, Rhiannon acknowledged us and reassured us she would be with us shortly. Check in was easy and we were shown to our upstairs room which overlooked the driveway and vineyard. The room we stayed in had a lovely modern, stylish decor (in fact the entire venue was well styled), good lighting, very clean and beautifully appointed with king bed, comfy lounge, relaxing music playing through the TV and a delightful bathroom complete with deluxe mini toiletries and fluffy robes. A knock at the door at approximately 6pm and we were presented with two glasses of bubbles (complete with strawberries) from Rhiannon and another staff member who offered to turn the bed down for us, which we politely declined. A short stroll over to the restaurant and once again we were treated to continued fantastic level of customer service with a pleasant waiter, also Rhiannon and another young lady who accommodated our every need. The food was of a very, very high standard and we chose an amazing bottle of David Hook blended Nebbiolo, Barbera and Sangiovese (visited the cellar door at 10.30am the following morning to buy a case but disappointingly closed!). After returning to our room (complete with bed turned down), we enjoyed a very quiet night's sleep (not a sound-so peaceful), breakfast the next morning was served on the verandah of the restaurant and once again we were not disappointed. Gorgeous, overlooking the vineyard. A must do for any couple looking for a beautiful getaway. Just do it. We will be back. Thank you.

We stayed at the Spicers Vineyard Estate over the Easter break and had a wonderful time. The room was very spacious and clean and the spa bath was awesome! We stay at alot of places in the hunter but this was by far the best for service, the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and always had a smile on their faces! The complimetary cocktails in the evening were a perfect way to end a busy of exploring the hunter. The food at Botanica is the best food I have EVER eaten, absoulutely superb!

An amazing boutique venue with a very comfortable rooms fantastic service and great atmosphere. Real fire in rooms with spa baths and outdoor pool. Fantastic botanical restaurant attached with a great menu worthy of michelin stars if they were awarded in Australia. The service received by newcomer John with his friendly yet professional manor helping to contribute to making our short stay a great experience. Will definitely return!

We recently stayed at Spicers Vineyard Estate for our Anniversary. It was our 9th visit to the Guesthouse and once again it was a most enjoyable& relaxing weekend.Every time we visit, we find it so beautiful and are amazed how helpful the staff are. Nothing is ever a bother for the wonderful staff, who go out of their way to make our stay special. From the moment we walk into our beautiful suite, we feel like we are in our own world. After a wonderful dinner at restaurant Botanica on the Saturday night, we found that the staff had added little extras to our Turn Down service as they knew it was our Anniversary. We can't wait to get back for another stay & have booked in for the June long weekend. We did'nt think you could improve on perfection, but they have... we have booked into one of the new Luxury Suites for the long weekend and can't wait to try out the new Day Spa!. Truly if anyone finds this place dissapointing, they are either impossible to please or have an ulterior motive in our opinion.Congratulations to Belinda, Mark & your wonderful team... the accommodation, food & service are all 5 star, but the personal touch that you all bring to the place is a 10 star!

Recently I had a one night stay at Spicers vineyard estate and it was nothing short of amazing! After being taken to our room and splurging with some champagne we went to the restaurant and had one of the most amazing meals I've had in my life! I've been to restaurant Botanica 3 times now and every time the service has been absolutely wonderful and the food has been both fresh and flavorsome! I have had the confit duck twice here now and it is the most delicious I have had anywhere! The rooms were also beautiful with spacious bedding and a very intimate and stylish bathroom! Would definitely recommend for anyone! Prices were also very reasonable for the deluxe treatment we received!

We have just returned home from a wonderfully relaxing weekend at Spicer's peaceful, friendly retreat in the heart of the Hunter Valley vineyards. It is rare to encounter staff who continually go out of their way to make every moment of your stay special, but from our warm late night welcome to our reluctant departure, the team ensured we had every comfort and surprised us with their attention to detail. Our spacious and tastefully decorated king spa suite enjoyed charming pastoral views front and back, while affording every luxury from chilled bubbles and an assortment of goodies in the complimentary minibar, to the carefully laid fireplace. Cuddly bathrobes, superior toiletries and the heated towelrail were the perfect antidote to a wet weekend, as were the huge comfy sofas. Breakfast was a standout, effectively a four course meal prepared from fresh local produce including veggies from the property and served in the vineyard restaurant. No need for lunch! Our thanks to all who made our stay so enjoyable, we look forward to finding an excuse to return soon :)
