we stayed in the hotel for a couple of days. The accommodation was clean and tidy. the best part of the trip was to taste the beautiful cuisine around the region. My sun-in-law loves the wines and it seems he really enjoyed tasting.

we recently visited the Hunter Valley for a mid week get away at the Hunter valley Resort. we were very excited by the theme park style activities here, unheard of in the Valley before. while the accommodation overlooking the vineyards is good, it is the wine experiences that make this resort excellent. there is the guided tour of the vineyard by one of the winemakers, a very informative multi media presentation of the wine making process with a questions and answers forum at the end. There is also a separate presentation by a winemaker running through wine judging techniques and wine variety discovery. This was really interesting and we learned a lot. We have not come across such interesting and valuable presentations in all our world wine region travels. The separate bar has many craft beers to choose from and the main restaurant is very classy offering wines tasted earlier during the wine judging course. The resort is a wow for wine enthusiasts, staff are very switched on and we highly recommended a stay here

Room Tip: Request a room with vineyard views

Just booked a Package Holiday with Luxury Escape, I cannot wait to visit this beautiful part of NSW. It will be a lovely getaway, and to taste some beautiful wine and food. We have never been to this part of the country before. I have read some of the trip advisor report and it seems like a nice place to stay, with quite a lot to do during the day.

We stayed in early May, the weather was a little cold but sunny and a lovely outlook to be enjoyed from the resort. Accommodation was neat, clean and tidy. The vineyard tourguide was so informative, the wine tasting was much fun, we learnt so much and enjoyed many of the wines. We dined at the restaurant, and enjoyed the food and menu, the staff all very attentive. Well situated to many other wineries.
Will go back again.

We had a great time wine tasting here. We were lucky to be served by Terry who has so much knowledge and taught us a lot as well as just having a great personality. was a great place to end our day of wineries.

Our first time at the Hunter Valley Resort. It was very clean & tidy, staff were very accommodating with all our requests & a great feature was the Horse riding that was available on the resort at very affordable prices. Bit too cold when we travelled for use of the pool & spa, but maybe next time we'll travel in summer :)

Room Tip: If travelling with kids, perhaps pay a bit more for a room with a kitchenette, will save you lots of...

If you are looking for a nice safe family resort with plenty of activities to keep the kids occupied then I wud recommend Hunter Valley Resort.
The staff are very friendly, hospitable, & polite. The rooms are clean with good AC & heating and is family friendly the setup for a family with 2 kids is ideal.
There are lots of things to do at the resort, horse riding - pony rides for kids is a must they have such good fun and it is worth it seeing the smile on their faces.
The restaurant is good with great food & a kids menu very reasonably priced.
We will definitely be staying there again as the wine experience is very informative and not your run of the mill crowded experience that you can have on the main drag - plus high quality wine also.
See you next time -
