“Best fortified wines in the area”
Reviewed 31 August 2012

Admittedly, I don't know how many other places around here do fortified wines, but I was sent here on a recommendation from another winery. I was not disappointed with the range or the taste.

My server was very attentive and apparently has the exact same taste buds for fortified wines as I do. As a result, he was able to pinpoint exactly what I was after.

The Hunter Valley isn't the strongest fortified wine producer in the country, but if you're looking for them, come here.

“Beautiful Port”
Reviewed 8 July 2012

I visited this winery after a recommendation from a local. The wine is good, but the port is beautiful. well worth the money, which was very reasonable. We stayed for lunch, which was average and over priced. I suggest having something other than coffee here to drink as it wasn't very nice. Nothing compared to the little bakery in Cessnock at the IGA shopping centre. The service at Draytons was fantastic and I recommend the winery for any lover of port.

“Vino in the Sun”
Reviewed 6 July 2012

Anyone planning on visiting the Hunter Valley. Make sure you stop off into Draytons Estate. A great place to take family or friends. Go between the months of October through until May. Soak up the sun and enjoy some great wines. The Oaky Creek Riesling is very refreshing.
