We were in a group of 10 family members going to the Hunter Valley Gardens for the light show. The restaurant was a little over half full and we were seated outside at the most distant table from the kitchen.

The food was ok (4/5) but the service was pretty poor.

In a region known for its food, I would try somewhere else next time.

We got our breakfast here a few times. First day we ate in amd service was a bit slow but they are friendly and food was great when it came. Rest of the week we got takeaway coffees and criossants and they were lovely. Excellent coffee

Very hot day so we drifted into Vittoria's - great air conditioning.
Lettuce was wilted in the chicken Caesar salad and the egg was hard. It was a sad looking dish.
The pizza was delicious. Crisp thin and crunchy crust.
It was all made worse by the diners at our neighbouring table devouring delicious looking ribs with gusto. Maybe we made a poor choice ... off the menu, and even the restaurant.

We had lunch at Vittorios. The staff were pleasant but the staff were not prepared that people would start arriving for lunch just after midday. Consequently the specials board was wrong and not updated until ours and other groups orders had been place. One of our mains was ready before our entrees arrived and we had long waiting times. Some who were having wedges and pizzas fared better. We were given water but noone came to ask us if we wanted any thing else to drink and because of our long wait of over 30 mins for simple entrees we were put off at the slow pace some of the staff move at.
The family group at a table near us got up and left as they were tired of waiting to have their lunch order taken.
Luckily the food was generally good because the service wasn't.

There is a gap between breakfast and lunch when the kitchen is closed and you can't order anything from the kitchen other than pastries and coffee. Even so It would have been quicker to drive to Sydney for a takeaway coffee and come back. When it did arrive they forgot the milk. Had to ask for water, the milk for coffee which they forgot and then a knife to spread the butter on banana bread. Comical.
