“Excellent”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

On a surprisingly warm winter day we booked a table for lunch outside. The view of the vineyard and surrounding countryside is beautiful. We had two starters and a side dish, the prosciutto-wrapped spatchcock ($20) and a chef's mezze plate ($18) with small portions of trout boudin, duck spring rolls, and cream of mushroom soup, and broccolini ($8). All dishes were perfectly prepared and delicious. We also had some very good Tamburlain Grenache Shiraz Merlot ($12/glass). Definitely worth a stop.

“Lovely food poor service”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

I took a group of like minded wine and foodies. Booking the lunch I was excited by the great service I had from Karen and felt less anxious about choosing a new restaurant for this particular day. Food was lovely and everyone was happy but our waitress was less than friendly and had a poor attitude. Even when a very dirty glass was put on the table no apology was offered when she was asked for a clean one and I don't think I saw her smile the whole time we were there. The ambience and decor were disappointing and large heavy plates being plonked on the table in front of you sounded unloved , startling and sterile. Despite this the setting was beautiful and the food especially the oysters was worthwhile and our group had an enjoyable lunch.

“The perfect wedding venue”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

As my now wife Ashlea has written, Twine is an absolutely amazing venue for weddings.

So much can be said - Our every need and request was attended to promptly in the entire organisation process with Karen and Monique. All the staff, even the polite new trainee we had during our wedding night, all held themselves to the absolute highest level of professionalism.

Every meal was perfect and even one of our guests which had strict dietary requirements was easily catered for by the head chef. Every email, every phone call, every meeting were all promptly and politely answered by Karen and I would not hesitate to recommend Twine Restaurant to any couple that are looking for a fantastic venue for their wedding with staff that go above and beyond all expectations.

The view is sensational, the staff are simply the best money can buy (and at a competitive price too!) and the food can not be faulted. If you are looking for the perfect venue for your wedding, Twine Restaurant is place to have it.

“Good food and service but little ambience”
Reviewed 20 June 2014

We went to Twine for lunch on a recent visit to the a Hunter looking for something a little special and were not disappointed. The restaurant is situated on the edge of a winery with good views over the surrounding vines. The restaurant inside is very modern and a little soulless and, as people came in for lunch, they were seated around the perimeter on the room. This did not help the atmosphere.
We had their speciality starter of oysters prepared six different ways and they were well presented and interesting.
Duck was chosen by both of us for a main. I know, a little boring in terms of checking out the food but we do not cook duck too often at home and we both love a well cooked offering. This was good and well presented with brocollini as a side.
Staff were professional but friendly.

“Where is the fire?”
Reviewed 17 June 2014 via mobile

On a cold Sunday night the four of us ventured out for the French themed menu for the Sunday Fireside. We had visions of sitting around a roaring fire, glass of wine in hand, shielded from the cold night outside. We were wrong, there was no fire, not much atmosphere and the food ($45 head set menu) was not exactly the French we were expecting, it was more an Asian- French mix. The service was warm and attentive but overall the food and ambience was not really value for money.
