“Fun way to get around the vineyards”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

Grapemobile was the highlight of our weekend away. We were picked up from the doorstep of our hotel and taken to the bike HQ. Upon arrival, we were greeted by enthusiasm and liveliness, offered a coffee, some delicious wine and given a wonderful history about the area and the Pokolbin Brothers Wine. Glen and Rono were attentive and accommodating. They catered to our needs with kindness and a passion for the work they do. They equipped us with all the tools we needed (helmet, water, map) to get around to the wineries and vineyards.
Upon our return to Grapemobile HQ, we were offered some ice-cream and muscat (must try!) whilst waiting for the wines we had ordered to be delivered (no need to cart the wines on the bikes!).
We spent our afternoon sharing a nice bottle of wine (or two) and discussing the area. Not only did Glen drop us off at our hotel to check in, but he then drove us to the local pub, and when we realised we had forgotten my wallet, without a pause Glen offered to take us back to the hotel to get it, and returned us to the pub. This type of kindness, attention to detail and hospitality is rare. We have had the best time and cannot wait to return to Pokolbin to visit the guys at Grapemobile.
Recommended for anyone who loves good wine, a nice day and picturesque views.

“Best way to get around Pokolbin”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

Arriving at Grapemobile HQ, we were expecting just to hire a few bikes and be on our way, but were treated to something much more. Beginning with a delicious coffee, Glen gave us a very interesting and fast paced history of the Pokolbin Brothers Wines which included some sampling.
We were then given a map with suggestions of wineries to visit and directions to places of our own choice. The scenery was just beautiful, the ride exhilarating, and the wineries fun and informative. Glen's passion and knowledge of the area is nothing short of amazing. And to top off the day, we were even offered a shuttle service to the local pub... and a courtesy lift back to our accommodation. The day could not have been more perfect, and relaxing. This really has to be the best way to get around, taking in the picturesque Hunter Valley views.

“Must do when in the Hunter”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

We had a fabulous time biking around the Hunter! We were able to make it to 4 different wineries in only a few hours and doing it in your own time makes its so much more relaxing. Some of the best views are on the trail that Glen easily maps out for you to follow and the cellar doors offer you free tastings and discounts because you are on a grape mobile tour. Excellent day and loved chatting to Glen! Will definitely be back and recommending this to friends.

“Invigorating way to explore the valley”
Reviewed 20 July 2014 via mobile

My partner and I were really happy with the level of service we received from these guys. I called on Thursday night at 5pm to enquire about the shuttle bus service before I booked online. Knowing that I did leaved it till last minute I was hoping for the best. Unfortunately, I was informed by one of the men at the shop that the van was supposed to be going to sydney since there were no booking. I completely understood and let him know, however he wanted to see what he could do so he told me he'd call back. An hour later he was able to confirm shuttle pickup for Friday (yay!)

So to the Eco trail. We stuck to the easy trail and found it was great. The wineries along the was were nice and the staff were lovely, and the scenery was picturesque. We also got the pleasure of running into some local wildlife. The bikes are in great condition and easy to ride.

Considering hunter valley isn't really a place fore exercise, I thought this was a great was to get the blood flowing before some serious indulgence. If you have two days in the hunter I highly recommend this, or even as an alternative to a guided winery tour.
