Together with my family from Belgium we speent a fabulous stay at Hermitage Lodge !
Excellent accommodation with a vineyard out the window.
The owners were very wel coming and we had wonderful dinners in the
Italian restaurant next door.
Wine selection, staff and creation of food dishes was all up to standards=TOP

Congratulations this is a 5 star place.

I stayed at the Lodge while there for CMC it was a little bit of heaven sitting on the balcony sipping a red and hearing the twangs from the concert and watch a mobb of Kangaroos hop past. The rooms were spacious and the spa bath heaven but it was the friendly service that truly makes it 5 star. And the food if you stay there have the Roasted pumkin pizza best pizza I have ever eaten.

Room Tip: Ask for the spa room - its worth it

My husband and I stayed at Hermitage Lodge last weekend for a concert at Bimbadgen winery. From the time we arrived we were made feel very welcome. We stayed in a deluxe spa room which was very comfortable. We had a common verandah, with a slatted screen between the units with a table and chairs overlooking the vineyard and another verandah at the front. While we didn't eat there, the onsite restaurant looked lovely, especially the verandah which was set up for dinner, also overlooking the vines. You were able to order room service from their A La Carte menu or pizzas, which were very reasonably priced. Location great and very easy to get around. Would highly recommend this property and will stay again and this time try the very popular restaurant.

Room Tip: If you want to have your own private verandah, then probably one of the studio rooms.

Really good place to stay for a couple of days whilst visiting Hunter Valley. The owners were friendly and helpful and having the restaurant on your doorstep is a plus. The only thing for me is that I am not keen of 'do it yourself' breakfast but that's me perhaps... it was nice in any case.

My husband & I spent a fabulous 2 nights at the Hermitage Lodge as part of our recent honeymoon tour of NSW & Queensland. Excellent accommodation - we had a lodge with spa bath & verandah views on both sides of the lodge - one looking out over the beautiful vineyard. There was ample parking space and the room was very comfortable. Free Wifi was a bonus too!We arrived on the Sunday late afternoon having driven up from Sydney and asked the front of house staff about booking onto a vineyard tour - they could not have been more helpful putting us in touch with Gary at The Vineyard Shuttle Service who phoned us back that evening persoanlly to organise picking us up at on the door step of the Lodge. Breakfast was put into the fridge by room service and it was lovely to sit out on the verandah on both mornngs enjoying the tranquility.

We had a wonderful meal at the Cacciatore Restaurant, the Award Winning restaurant on site at the Hermitage Lodge - it was great to put our wine tasting skills to the test with what was probably one of the best meals we experienced on our month long trip to Australia - well worth the expense!

We would definitely recommend the Hermitage Lodge if you are looking for a romantic break.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a few nights. Frankly we didn't want to leave. We were in one of the suites (saddler's creek I think). For 2 people it was almost too big. Had a nice big living room, huge bathroom and a lovely balcony overlooking the vineyard. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Wifi was available in the suite. The breakfast was placed in the fridge which made it nice and relaxed each morning to breakfast on the balcony in the morning sun. Recommended for a romantic few days.

My partner took me here or two nights to celebrate my birthday. As soon as we arrived we found the staff to be friendly and the took us to our room, explained everything and really made us feel welcome.

Free wifi is great, so many 5 star places in Melbourne and Sydney still don't offer free wifi, so it was a nice surprise.

The room was clean and comfortable. I am so fussy about clean bathrooms and it was clean. When actually in the shower looking out there is some mould around the base of the door that needs attention, but I am very fussy and my partner didn't notice if, so I only mention it so the owners can get onto it because whoever is cleaning this place does have good attention to detail. The rest of the room was spotless.

The bed was comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was really nice and fresh.

We both could not make the phone in our room work to call the restaurant to make an order. But when we did order pizzas on the Sunday night from the on site restaurant they delivered them to our room and they were very nice.

Overall a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
