My husband and I had the most wonderful night at Leogate Winery Hunter Valley 31st May 2014. We were staying at the Crowne Plaza Lovedale, another wonderful experience. We were picked up by the winery bus and arrived 5.30pm Sat. night. Met their fabulous team and also Mark the winemaker who has just won an award for his shiraz in London. Lovely degustation dinner with wines to compliment and then half way through dinner, with wine in hand, we were treated to a fireworks display. Just fabulous. Everyone were enjoying themselves and Maureen looked after us exceptionally. Would recommend highly for wines and also food.

The steak was great! The view OK, the staff pleasant but the whole dining experience for the high prices paid was very ordinary. Unfortunately the basics were provided but there was nothing extra…. even had to pay for the bread. We won't be back!

Sat in for an amazing degustation this weekend, served 7 wonderful and well thought out dishes, from delicious fish through to their own aged steak, topping us off with an unbelievable dessert then cheese platter. All accompanied by hand picked wines, served to us by an extremely knowledgeable and friendly member of staff, that made us feel welcome from the get go.
Recommend this place to anyone who enjoys great food like I do.
A must see in the Hunter Valley

We enjoyed a 7 course degustation at Villa du Pays. Each course was amazing, the steak and venison were perfectly cooked and the accompaniments only enhanced the dishes, the twist on the pumpkin ravioli was sensational.
The attention to detail in the food was spectacular, it was beautifully plated and you could almost taste the passion put into each and every dish.
The wine to accompany each dish matched wonderfully, and was described to us in detail, which just made the experience all the more intimate. The knowledge about the food and wine from the staff was perfect and very informative.
The setting is just breath taking, overlooking the stunning vineyards with mountains in the back ground. A perfect place to spend a lazy Sunday.
Thanks for the superb food, wine and for looking after us.

All in all a great place to go, exciting food, great staff and perfectly situated.
