I decided to surprise my boyfriend with a trip away for his 30th. We had an amazing time in the Hunter Valley and our stay at Splinters definitely contributed. Our host Bobby (who also owns the guest house) was so helpful, she pointed out some great wineries and sights to see and went above and beyond to get us and other guests booked into restaurants for the busy long weekend. The breakfasts in the morning were delicious!!! Bobby is quite the chef and whipped up savory scones, egg tarts and croissants.
The rooms were lovely and clean with everything you could need. The cheese and wine on arrival was a lovely touch and the chocolate supply was replenished every morning which for a chocoholic like me was awesome!
I can't recommend this enough, if you want a personal touch to your stay in the Hunter you couldn't pick a better place to kick back after a long day of wine tasting (such a tough life!)More
