Spent two nights here in a river view cabin, staying as part of a larger group gathering. Our cabin had a large, uncluttered lounge/dining/kitchen area that opened onto a small balcony where you could sit overlooking a grassed area and the river. Gorgeous, tranquil view. The cabin was light and airy, appropriately furnished and equipped. Bedrooms were adequate and bedding comfortable and there was great water pressure in the bathroom. Everything inside the cabin was clean.
These good features were marred by two negatives:
1. A lack of upkeep to the external facilities and areas. Each of the three chairs on our balcony had seats with areas that had worn/frayed right through - one could not be used at all - and the frames of the chairs and edges of the table were rusty. The Park itself seems in need of a good spring clean, especially in the camp kitchen area and to get rid of the autumn leaf litter still on the ground and visibly covering large areas of cabin rooftops (in October).
2. Seriously negative vibes from the office/park manager. She sighed when coming to the reception counter when we arrived, seemed put-out by a request for some directions and almost begrudgingly said simply "OK" when I handed in the keys at checkout and thanked her. The impression that customers are a bother to her and not really welcome at the Park is the impression we left with,
