After being put in a room that adjoined another room and was so noisy we couldn't get our little boys to sleep we asked reception if we could move. The response my husband recieved from reception was 'what do you want me to do about it?' My husband responded that as we were staying 2 nights we would like another room, the receptionist rudely stated we would have to have a room with 2 single beds and as it was late we had to take it. Luckily she had no idea what she was talking about and the room we moved to had two queen beds as there was 4 of us! Would not stay here again!

Arrived here Easter Saturday night after hours of driving across the state. We were very tired and just wanted to sleep. Went to the beer garden to ask where reception was and my partner was spoken to very rudely by the bartenders that treated him like he was a nuisance. Though, we let that go because it was really busy and we both work in hospitality.

Went to the bottle shop reception and were ignored by an elderly woman with short blonde hair and glasses until she had finished her chat with the other staff member on the counter across from her. Didn't acknowledge us or offer to help, just stared. Strike one. Spoke short and sharp and talked to us like we were idiots, even rolling her eyes. just keen to get rid of us. An old bag is what she was!

On a positive, the young girl around my age (20) that the old bag fobbed us off to was lovely and very helpful to us. Got to the room, was a well equipped, modern room. No complaints there. Biggest bathroom i've seen in a motel. The room was why we rated this place poor and not terrible.

After leaving the next day we rang back later that night as i had left something in the room and wanted to see if i could pay to get it posted to me.
My partner got the same old bag from the bottle shop on the phone who told him that she couldn't go and have a look in the room because she was the only one in the bottle shop. Didn't offer to send someone else or even call him back. He suggested that she should take his number and call him back when she got a chance. She never did. No customer service whatsoever.

I think she assumed being only young twenty-something year olds, we wouldn't care about being treated like crap. Well, actually attending one of the top hotel schools in the country, we will not be returning and will make a point to suggest that people stay away from here. Solely because of the way we were treated.

A positive experience - a guest might tell two other people.
A NEGATIVE experience - a guest tells at least ten other people.
Or in this case, four hundred NSW uni students.
might be worth mentioning to her.

I have been twice to this pub and on both occasions had great food, friendly and fast service and the choice of a variety of settings in which to eat - outdoor, outdoor covered, indoor. There is loads of seating and parking. Menu offers everything from snacks to meals and there is on site pizza making and coffee shop too. Good venue for a catch up with friends. It is also child friendly. If you choose to go here it will often be quiet but remember it is a very big venue and can be crowded and noisy. Only criticism - staff dress did not inspire me to think they were good at or cared about their job.

This establishment has been going down hill for quite a while, don't know if it is new Management or they just don't care about their patrons but after a private function last night, I will not be returning to this venue. Upon arrival and from a distance it all looked good but on closer inspection, the cracks appeared. Dirty glasses and cutlery, table tops still sticky and dirty, the high chair for my 8 month old baby was filthy, the staff were dressed way too casual, unless bum skimming jean shorts are the uniform for the girls (???). Apparently the toilets, both male and female, were dirty with water and paper towel everywhere, bins overflowing (had not been cleaned at regular intervals during the day). Lucky I did not have to use the amenities. The food was very very average and very dry, and small portions (after 3 courses, we left feeling hungry). As this was a work function, I will be suggesting to my Management a new venue for our 2014 Christmas Party. Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. Will not return even on a personal level.

Went to the Beach Hotel to see Jon English & The Foster Brothers in concert in the Waves Nightclub attached to the pub and booked a room at the Motel for the night. Pretty good spot and away from the main hotel area so patron noise was not a problem. The room was fairly basic and showing its age in places but very clean and comfortable and for the very reasonable price a good choice all up. The $5 Breakfast in Oscar's the next morning was a steal and with coffees came in at under $20 bucks, Great value !! If you have kids they will love the play area and will be entertained for ages .Will be staying here again when the next concert catches my eye !!

Room Tip: Make sure you keep you bathroom door closed as you can hear the other rooms plumbing !

This is part of the Oscars Group. I've eaten here a few times, the food is great, big serves, and pretty good prices. This time, a group of friends stayed in the Motel. I wasn't sure what to expect, but when I opened the door, I was pleasantly surprised. The room looked up to date, was clean & very comfortable. The beds are great. I'd recommend it as a good place to stay.
