Overall, a good hotel. Great location (opposite beach, cafes, walking paths etc) Most rooms would have good ocean views. Hotel and Rooms are showing their age (80s terracotta tiles in the bathrooms, foyer!) Nice meals from the restaurant. Hotel bar had nice atmosphere.

The lady on arrival was very nice and helpful when I asked her questions. The room was nice and big but needs updating as it looked very old. Shower door needs to be replaced and toilet didn't flush properly View of the beach was fantastic!!!!!!!

We stayed in a superior room at the Novotel Wollongong one night as we were attending an event.

The reception and bar staff were very attentive and the hotel overall is quite clean. The room was simple and a bit dated but clean and spacious. We had a lovely view, but our room was just above the terrace used for events and it was a bit loud at times. We weren't bothered by it, but it could be bothersome to some people.

Parking was not included and charged additionally. Overall it was a pleasant stay for one night, but expected more for the price we paid.

We stayed here on the June long weekend, for just one night. All staff treated us with the utmost respect, and everybody was very lovely. Lifts were a little creaky, but that wasn't a big deal. We had a superior double room with a balcony and ocean view, and the room was a great size, as was the bathroom.

Breakfast buffet was included, and it was great. My only complaint is that the roasted tomatoes (which I'm assuming were meant to be hot) were stone cold.

Like other people have mentioned, the one downfall was that there was no privacy between the balconies - they were separated just by a railing, so when you were sitting out on the balcony it felt like you were sitting with everybody else on their balconies.

Exactly what you'd expect from a Novotel. Nicer than the ones in the city, the room seemed a bit more spacious as well. Tried the buffet at the restaurant, good food, but glad we were getting our meals half off as $60 per person is a bit much.

Parking should be free.

Room was great, clean, beautiful view, bed very comfy. The staff were very friendly (even the cleaners) and helpful. The only downside was no privacy between rooms on the balconies other than that we would definitely stay there again.

The room was nice and cosy, simple room, hotel was a little out dated, lifts were very creaky and felt like they were going to fall at any moment. Only stayed the 1 night but it did the job it needed to, we ordered in room dinning and first off they didnt answer the phone 4 times, and when they finally did they got our order wrong....
