“Walk or ride Wollongong to Thirroul”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2014

This is a scenic bike ride along the coastline. The beaches are sandy and the water inviting. Easy walking or cycling with few hills. It is so beautiful that it gets very busy in parts especially around the Sandon Point to Woonona stretch. There is a few coffee shops to stop at at either end to refresh yourself for the return journey, or you can catch a train back to your starting point.

“Scenic”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 May 2014

The track follows the coast mostly so the view is beautiful - even on a cloudy day. The surface is fairly good with a few bumpy patches.

“Great recreational path for running and cycling”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 March 2014

A great resource for all visitors and residents of the 'gong! Run (or cycle) from the city along the northern beaches, passing through some great bushland at Puckey's Reserve on a boardwalk and well surfaced gravel track. There is water available along the way, and the cafe at Bulli is a great turnaround point, with a spectacular view. Up until that point it is all quite flat.

Can be busy on weekends, with more family groups on bikes emerging as the morning or day wears on. If walking or cycling, there are a few cafes en route for a restorative drink, and some beaches on which to swim.

“Fantastic off street 15km coast walk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2014

This coast walk is true to label passing at least 5 beaches from the eastern end of Wollongong to Thirroul Beach. You rarely walk on the street and get some great coastal views. The track is fully surfaced and good in all weather. Take the detour via Puckeys Reserve if you are walking. You can catch a train to Wollongong, walk to the coast at the bottom of Crown Street and then head north. To get home get back on the train at Thirroul. If you catch the train it's about 18km walking between the stations. All flat and easy terrain. Plenty of kiosks along the way for refreshments and lots of public toilets too.
