“Wretched service, cool coffee, smoking tolerated - what more could you want?”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

Was it just a one-off bad day? Who knows? But the focus on the 4 of us to serve was clearly not as important a priority as finishing the shift and chatting to their smoking friends! Great location but life is too short to try again.

“Great food and fabulous view”
Reviewed 12 April 2014

We were catching up with a friend in Wollongong and they suggested this restaurant for lunch. I am so thankful that they did, it was a fabulous dining experience.
On Cliff Road, North Wollongong it has a fabulous coastal view. While we were dining I was watching the skydivers, not something that you can usually do while dining in a restaurant.
This is a small restaurant and quite busy so I would definitely recommend booking in advance. The menu included steaks, seafood, pastas and salads. They serve generous portions, all of which are beautifully presented. The food just melts in your mouth.
The staff are friendly and efficient. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Ana who is very warm, friendly and this is reflected in her restaurant.
This is also a dog friendly restaurant another added bonus.
I can highly recommend this restaurant for it's good food, great views and friendly ambiance.

“No complaints about the food . . .”
Reviewed 11 March 2014

We had a group of 14 people on an early Saturday night and had booked well in advance. A small place, there were two other large groups and a few small tables. Whilst this may auger well, there seems to have been no thought put into the organisation of the kitchen or staffing to handle this.

We decided to have their suggested group menu to make things easier for all ~ and our orders were taken quite quickly. However, it took forever to be adequately accommodated with glasses and water. Platters of rather oily brushetta and garlic bread arrived to share, which did a little to ease the hunger pangs of our hungry group as we waited 2 hours for our main course.

The taste and quality of the food was good; although now, so late at night, without explanation nor attention to keeping up the supplies of water, we were all so tired that none of our group could bother staying for desert or coffee.

It was a pity that we had such an experience on which to judge them. The dishes of those around me were all judged to be good, although a tad heavy on the saucing. It may be worth a repeat visit, however not with a group, and on a quiet night!

“Delicious!”
Reviewed 11 February 2014

I recently stayed at the Novotel and decided to try Aqua because it was only a short walk away. My husband and I came for dinner and it was superb! I had the Pesto Salmon and it was cooked to perfection, whilst my husband tried the Moroccan lamb which he was very pleased with. The portions are huge and the price very modest. The view is amazing and the staff very sweet. We wanted to try the delicious looking desserts but were just too full! Next time it is then.
