Well if you are expecting anything resembling a "normal" or "traditional" Chinese restaurant layout and feel - be prepared for a surprise. In what I suppose is meant to be a modern edgy feel, the starkness of the white paint really didnt do it for me. Nonetheless we settled and ordered (banquet) and were wonderfully surprised that the quality of the food did indeed surpass that of the decor. The dumplings were great. Service ok but missing a few of the attentive details that can make the difference. But overall a pretty good experience and generally recommended.

We snuck in just before closing and the lady was very accommodating. We were child free and opportunistic and couldn't resist a bite to eat before we went back to the kids. The dumplings we ordered were to die for! So yummy, I had duck and my husband pork- they were hot and so tasty, they gave us complimentary water and everything was served on beautiful dishes. The decor is light and refreshing and the lounge was comfortable. We can't wait to go back again.

Not worth all the hype. No worth the price. I arrived before the rest of the group admittedly without a booking however restaurant was hardly full. Lukewarm reception and nothing startling about the restaurant. Quite frankly the ambience is poor. I asked for a Asian beer - only one on offer? Which is quite sad in an upmarket (supposedly ) Asian style restaurant. I was quickly told that if we ordered the $50 per head Mo chi feast we would get a free glass of wine. Two entrees of prawn toast and beef wonton, followed by the 4 x feast and no free glass of anything.
Dumplings we ordinary. Some of the dishes which is really one piece of each item were enjoyable, the eggplant being the winner on the night. But considering the food cost come to $220 for four i should be saying extraordinary things about Mo Chi but sadly i cannot. There are amazing Asian restaurants in Wollongong. I have no idea why i would ever need to go back. Even if the food was better, staff need to be more educated on service and the menu. Over priced wine $34.00 per bottle worth only $18 elsewhere. No my Chi.

Thought we would try this a second time as first time was in first week of opening and service was dreadful, unorganised and slow. but food was very tasty. Well staff this time were even more conceited and service was so slow mains arrived before entrees and then when enquiring was told they will be a minute so end result was 5 dishes on table at one time all going cold. whilst we waited for our drinks we requested water as took so long we got water and drink orders after food was eaten what should have been a well organised meal as it took 1.5 hours was 1 hour of waiting half an hour of to consume food and drinks and then being rushed out. any enquires were handled as if we asked for the moon to be served. But on looking around some customers were receiving great service so it must be who you know ;)

Was so excited to come here and try there dumplings. Was so disappointed. There were hardly any dumplings on the menu and they were terrible. No flavour.
Don't bother going here, such a let down.
The dumpling restaurant next door is way better.
