A perfect small motel. We stayed in a superior kitchenette rooms which was large, well equipped, comfortable queen bed and single. Lovely enclosed private garden to rear of room, swimming pool. Parking right outside room. The owners Tony and Marilyn are very welcoming and only too happy to advise on all the local attractions in the area and book for you too. They also cook a beautiful breakfast.
Location is good, plenty of options for shopping or eating out nearby.
You are well advised to book direct through their website as prices are the same as through the hotel booking sites but they often have little bonus offers if you book direct.
We have now stayed there twice and would not consider anywhere else in the region. A perfect motel in our opinion :)

Marilyn and Tony were lovely however if your looking for privacy and quiet...forget it.
Whilst the rooms are very clean, the air conditioners are the ancient box type that sound like generators so using at night is impossible, even the fans are rickety and click all night.
When they service the rooms they turn everything off even the fan on low...so you come home to a stuffy room...no screens on doors so bugs and whatever come in.
The kitchenette has a small bar fridge and microwave.
Its basically on the main road so you can hear traffic at all hours.
The walls are thin you can hear showers and people moving about constantly.
When in the courtyard, the majority of room's bathrooms face it so you can hear toilets flushing and etc. etc. embarrassing and intrusive..I would not go back, there are better places at the same cost...with privacy and modern air conditioning.
Marilyn and Tony see and know everything you do...their backyard is yours too!

Room Tip: Stay away from the main road and check the air con they use...its hot up there.

We are sorry that this person did not enjoy their stay with us. We do like feed back this is why we email feedback review forms on the 1st day after checkout. As we do not stay in the rooms we only know things need to be attended to if we are told. We have never stated we are a new motel but we have stated that it is currently under renovation on some rooms. These take time.
As we have no record of this persons stay with us under this name I do not know which room they occupied to look at the problems, or if they ever stayed here at all. I will however address their concerns......
(1) Box air-conditioners: Yes we still have some rooms with older style air-conditioners, as they break we replace them not repair them.
(2)Turn Everything off: Yes we are a green tick motel. We look after the environment, and we do service the rooms daily.
(3) Ricketty Fan: This one is too easy we may be able to track it down and have it repaired now we know about it.
(4) No Screen Doors: How many motels have screen doors on their rooms? We do have however 3 rooms with screens.
(5) Kitchenette small bar fridge & microwave: Yes these are on all of our websites. Bar size fridge. This is why it is call a kitchenette and not a full kitchen. It sounds like this person was in a standard room though with limited kitchenette facilities. Microwave toaster kettle crockery & cutlery and mini bar size fridge. We are a motel designed for short to moderate stay, we are not a long stay appartment.
(6) On Main Road: Yes like most motels we are on the highway service road, our rooms though are accessable from the side street. Noise does fade at night.
(7) Thin Walls: I do not know how to make them any thicker as they are already double brick with soundproofing glaze. Bathrooms are side by side like most motels so if your windows are open then yes I suppose you may hear noise in the other room and the road. (Yes our windows do open in the bathroom for fresh air)
(8) Hear people in the bathroom: Why would you sit outside somebodies bathroom when our garden is set up with tables and chairs under umberellas and is quite large. Music is playing which gives a relaxing feel. Maybe this person wishes to sit in the front of their motel room and look at their car.
(9) We know and see everything they do: Does this person have a complex? The only time we are in the motel garden is when we are servicing rooms, doing peoples laundry and if anyone is out for happy hour we will join them. Motel garden is not our back yard, our residence is separate and has its own garden, which we share with guests if they need lock up of any vehicles.
In conclusion I would like to say I do hope this person finds themselves a motel which caters for all of their needs obviously it was not us.......!

The bed was comfortable. I loved the alfresco eating, and communal area. Tony's cooking was delicious. Marilyn was always available for a chat and advise. They even allowed me to shelter my bike in a secure area. The motel is very handy to everything, in fact walking distance. I can't say anything about cost as my work is paying but the meals were reasonable, try Tony's fish!

Want a break from cooking or eating out? Tony does a lovely fish poached in coconut cream on a Friday evening, it is very different to your usual fried fish. Most evenings we put on a home cooked corporate meal if requested. Long stays like yours are not uncommon at our motel. Some persons have stayed with us for up to 3 months. Our garden area gets you out of your larger than normal room and the pool is lovely to just lie back on the lounges and read a book. Short walk to the shopping mall or a free bus to the sports club. We have a large Corporate and government following.

I was a bit concerned about staying in this motel after reading some of the reviews but it is indeed great value and whilst yes, the rooms are a bit tired, they are spotlessly clean and very comfortable.
The friendliness and hospitality of the staff is second to none and the quiet courtyard and magnificent garden certainly is an oasis of peace and quiet.
If you are looking for a great value for money stay this is the place.

Our reviews are all great. Yes you will always get the odd one as all people have different expectations, and we always take on board any problems they may have had and rectify were possible. Yes our garden is a lovely place to chill out. Most motels you have to sit outside your room looking at your car but here it is so different, breakfast in the morning or beverage of an evening in the garden is very relaxing.

Stayed at the Coral Villa for a night stop-over while driving up the Bruce Highway. Tony and Marilyn were great hosts and treated us to a free drink on arrival for booking on-line. Tony prepared a tasty breakfast of bacon and eggs. We enjoyed the quiet garden in the private courtyard. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, much better than we expected for a motor inn on the main road into the city. A note of caution about Bundaberg, we arrived late evening and found it difficult to get an evening meal as most places, except fast food outlets, seemed to shut around 8pm

Thank you for taking the time to review us, as a seasoned traveler and have reviewed many motels and hotels we are humbled by your review. Yes all guests who book online on OUR website receive freebies (welcome drink and hot breakfast), also most restaurants, clubs, pubs close their kitchens around 8:30pm weekdays and 9pm weekends. You will however find the usual 24 hour takeaways open.

Want somewhere to relax in the gardens and by the pool, and like home comforts with friendly hosts then stay here. We enjoyed it and left feeling relaxed. Thanks to Tony and Marilyn who were very helpful and a great help to first timers to Bundaberg. Both Tony and Marilyn made it clear the property was in the process of a upgrade, however due to the floods workman are difficult to come by and we appreciated the honesty. Being rather tall the bed was a little short however we adapted as you do. Villa two was close to the road and while some may find the traffic noise difficult to adjust to we were to tired from all the activities our hosts suggested to worry.

We like it when people review us as it gives us a great boost and builds customer satisfaction.
Yes the Double spa room is exactly that a double bed and you were a tall man. It is the only room we have which does not have a queen sized bed. I am glad though that you did sleep well.

I stayed five nights at the beginning of August during a very sad time for my family and wish to thank the hosts , Marilyn and Tony , for their hospitality and service during my stay . This Motor Inn is small but very welcoming after you check in . My room was basic but very clean, comfortable and cosy . The small kitchenette was a bonus and if the weather had been a little hotter I would have enjoyed the lovely pool that was right next to my room . The atmosphere of the private garden made it an ideal place to relax and appreciate the friendliness of Marilyn and Tony who shared some time with me .
I will certainly stay here again when I return to Bundaberg .

We have a great number of return guests and we love to hear their stories. Our motel is our home and we treat our guests as though they are visitors to our home. Yes we are a small owner operated motel which gives us the time to spend with our guests if they wish.
