Great beach, for surfing, swimming and walking. Watch in amazement the surfers getting out to catch the waves and avoiding the rocks

Snapper Rocks visually splendid with the waves crashing on the rocks. Plenty of surfers riding the waves.

“Great part of the world”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

This is a beautiful spot with a history rich surf club. If you like to catch a wave, you'll have to be respectful of the locals as they can get a little angsty with amateurs and tourists.

The best thing to do is grab a beer on the deck of the club and watch the surfers when the break is pumping. Also not a bad spot to watch whales early on winter mornings.

“Just part of a beautiful coastal walk”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

If you walk from Coolangatta beach along this beautiful coastline to Tweed heads and Rainbow Bay, Snapper Rocks is just one of the highlights. There will invariably be at least 15 surfers playing ''çhicken'' with the approaching rocks as they compete for waves at this iconic location. If you are a surfer photographer, this is a great location to get some spectacular shots when the waves are big.
