Beccles is an exquisite B&B - one of the best we've had the privilege of staying in. Host, Janette, has paid attention to brilliant detail in every corner of this elegant residence. We will definitely be back to soak up the luxuriant ambience of this place.
Not to mention the sumptuous breakfast complete with crystal and silverware - a feast for the senses and rejuvenation for the soul! We stayed in the Queen suite - beautiful high quality linen and accessories - and enjoyed breakfast in the adjoining sun room. We didn't want to leave. Our highest recommendation - this will be the only place we stay in Toowoomva!

Overnight weekend getaway in Toowoomba. We stayed in the smaller queen room ($120) and were very comfortable and warm. Everything was perfectly clean with a charming decor. Janette was a lovely hostess, serving afternoon tea and great conversation, offering that balance of attention and privacy. Fantastic DVD, magazine and book collection with a small tv/DVD in our room. Also electric blanket, tea/coffee facilities, AC, bathroom heater lights. Breakfast was wonderful. (We also enjoyed meeting the two well behaved, sweet dogs!) Close to town centre and a range of cafés, but still quiet. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay!

Room Tip: There are 4 options, king suite, queen suite, queen room and king singles room. All looked beautiful...

Beccles is a truly beautiful B&B, run by a friendly and charming hostess. Everywhere you look there is a feast-for-the-eyes still life setting, detail, or arrangement that exudes quality, care, and taste.

Rooms and ensuites are large and beautifully appointed. Indeed, the term 'ensuite' does not do justice to this facility in the king suite in which we stayed. It is very large - even by 'bathroom' standards - and (as well as a separate shower) sports a luxurious bath, with all the accoutrements necessary for a long and indulgent soak generously provided. Our room also generously came with complementary wine, chocolates, biscuits, tea/coffee and fresh milk - the latter a thoughtful and welcome touch for a loather of the long-life variety!.

Breakfasts were not only beautifully prepared from a culinary point of view, but also served on elegant and individual tableware and settings. Unless you opt for 'room service', they are served either in the elegant dining room or on a sunny back veranda at a time of your choosing.

There is a well-appointed sitting room for your use and enjoyment. The gardens also provide nooks and settings in which to sit and relax, and pay certain homage to Toowoomba's 'Garden City' reputation.

Beccles is right at the top of the range in Toowoomba's enviable heritage precinct. It is easily accessible, close to the city centre, and a strategic set off point for Toowoomba's many surrounding attractions. Just up the road (also 'on Margaret'), there are cafes and restaurants - right opposite Toowoomba's beautiful Queens Park.

I have already recommended Beccles' B&B to friends, and will definitely be returning myself.

Room Tip: If you want to spend any more time in your room than sleep time (which you probably don't anyway...

Experience yesteryear when staying at this period B & B. The rooms are exquisitely appointed with every detail thought of. We booked last minute so managed to book the Twin king single room which was a wonderfully spacious room with two very comfortable beds with the finest of bed linen. The ensuite had heated towel rails and lamps and was a very large bathroom with beautiful plush towels. The room had ample wardrobe space, seating and desk area as well as lovely big cane chests to house your overnight bags etc. Lovely lamps adorned this room and throughout the whole home was beautiful lighting, fireplaces, artwork and days gone by collectibles. Jeanette along with her beautiful well behaved dogs were the perfect hosts. The puppies knew their place and were never intrusive to your space. Jeannette's home style breakfasts are a treat all served up on beautiful silverware and even presented to the table under a stylish cloche. Not once did you feel your privacy encroached upon. Each room had its own key so you could retreat to your room and relax watching a little television or read a book or mix socially with a pre dinner drink and mingle with other like minded travellers in the comfortable living areas by a cosy fireplace. The home is ideally located in the leafy area of Toowoomba and very handy to dining precincts and beautiful Queens Park. We can't wait to revisit again. I would highly recommend Beccles to anyone wanting a more personal and stylishly intimate type of accommodation. Service and smiles at Beccles are second to none. Thank you Jeanette for having us stay.

Thank you, Janette! Beccles on Margaret is probably one of the loveliest places we've stayed in a long time. We so enjoyed all the little personal touches around the home, lovely art works and flowers, generous breakfast table and of course the company of the dogs, Kingsley and Maddy.
We highly recommend the king room with its little luxuries... so well appointed and comfortable too! Hope to return in the near future.
