Advantages - neat and tidy unit, 2 "real good sized bedrooms", well equipped and close to the CBD, shops and restaurants. The unit also has a private courtyard and a lockup garage. The manager was very friendly and welcoming. The unit came with a generous supply of soaps, tea, coffee and nice toilet paper. Price wise, it was reasonable.
Disadvantages - The main one was the noise. James Street in Toowoomba is actually the Warrego Highway and b-doubles roar past all day and night, although Friday night was quieter. We were in Unit 1 which is at the front of the building - If that's not bad enough, the water pump servicing the toilets for the whole building was located just outside the master bedroom window, beside our bed head. The unit needs a detailed clean of vents, grills, window sills, cupboards (especially under the kitchen sink), bathroom vanity, and the courtyard . Apart from the garage, there is no other parking for Unit 1, which was a very tight squeeze for our Ford Territory. I tried to park in the space at the front of the building, but other cars used this as well.
To sum up, we thought it was reasonable for what we paid. Would we stay there again? ... no.
