Always come here for breakfast on Christmas morning. After a slight mess up on the booking, we sat down for the buffet breakfast. Everything there you could want and they prepared fresh what you wanted when it came to the eggs.Lovely view out and was getting very busy by the time we left. Staff very attentive and pleasant. Will return again next year.

My partner and I had to come to Adelaide for a couple of nights with our 6 weeks old baby, but forgot to pack our travel bassinette so rang ahead to request a cot in the room. Reception was more than happy to provide this, and we were grateful to not have to run around looking for one when we got into town. When we arrived, we were going to ask for a microwave to be placed in the room as well, only to find that there had been one put in there anyway, as they assumed we needed one as we obviously had a baby. What fantastic service! The cot was unfortunately like cardboard with a large dip in the middle, however we had some extra blankets etc and bub was obviously very small so were able to make it comfortable enough for sleep and place him away from the middle so it was safe. We weren't overly fussed, again just grateful to have it. On checkout, however, we found that not only had they charged us $10 per night for use of the cot, we had also been slugged a microwave fee....a bit rich considering they had placed it in there without even informing us, or us asking for it! Until then, we were surprised at how clean and, although outdated and a bit dingey and dark where we were placed at the back of the motel under cover (no views for us), comfortable and reasonably quiet it was. I hope that in future ALL CHARGES AND FEES are made clear BEFORE providing a service. However, we have really been put off by the experience, and probably won't be back. A tip for management; port-a-cots aren't expensive, it may be a worthwhile investment to get a new one, the one you have is a tragedy waiting to happen.

Room Tip: If you're travelling with a baby, make sure you have your own cot.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to write a review.

Im very sorry that our $10 per night cot fee was not made clear at the time of the booking, I can understand when coming to checkout that it must have been unexpected. In regards to the Microwave fee we definitely DO NOT charge for the use of them, we dont have a charge set up in our system so it would be very unusual for this to accur. Id be more than happy to refund any fee associated with the mircowave if you could kindly send me the proof.

We're glad you enjoyed the rest of your stay.

Kind regards,

Management

My wife and I spent two nights in this motel. The bedroom itself was fine, as were the amenities, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean but dated: it's been a long time since I stayed at a motel with a plastic shower curtain. Unfortunately we had a lazy member of the cleaning staff who never got around to making up our room, washing tea cups, replacing soap etc etc. The reception staff were genuinely appalled when informed of this shortcoming and acted responsibly and promptly by apologising sincerely, referring the matter to management and providing compensation through a reduction in room charges. The breakfast buffet was pleasant enough but could be better organised in its layout and general presentation. The location of this motel is excellent and with some tweaking and upgrading of some of the amenities they could far better capitalise on the advantages the location provides, thereby gaining improved ratings.

Room Tip: Try to get a first floor room overlooking the waterway

What a poor excuse for a motel. 15 years past its used by and desperately in need of a make over. Had to change rooms as the matress on the bed had a huge sag, leading to a sleepless night. It is located in a great location, however, there are many other options near bye that will be more comfortable and appealing. Never again!

My room was next to the coach stop so nice and noisy from 1700. The hairdryer was not in a good condition and had no heater. Apart from that the room was OK but basic. not like the brochure pictures but OK to stay for a couple of nights and near to all the shops and restaurants.
The food was quite reasonable but the buffet layout needed some work. Lining up in a queue past the coffee/tea and toast facilities was not a good idea.
Overall, fair but worth considering. Just make sure you choose your room.

My husband and I spent one night here to attend my nieces engagement. We arrived at 5pm, check in was very quick, as I had pre-paid. We quickly showered and got ready to go out. The shower was great, quite powerful. The bathroom although quite old looking, was reasonably spacious with a huge mirror and a hairdryer on the wall. Toilet also in the bathroom, not in a separate room. No bath. Full length mirrors on the wardrobe which also had an iron and ironing board in there, very handy!! Small bar fridge in the bedroom and a flatscreen tv. We found the Queen bed to be very comfortable, but didn't like the pillows at all. Luckily we took our own pillows. In saying that, we stayed here with 2 other couples and one of them thought the pillows were good! I booked the 3 of us couples in on an Agoda special which was $118 per couple. The room came with an included car park each, which was great. We were on the north end of the establishment, upstairs overlooking the bowling green. Aeroplane noise in the morning, but not too bad for noise otherwise. Checkout was 10.30am. It was about a 5 minute walk down to the marina shops to a lovely little place that we had breakfast. We found our stay great value for a 1 night accommodation, where you are not looking to spend a lot of time there, just need a good shower and a comfy bed. Would stay again. Obviously being in the city, mobile phone coverage was not a problem, and free WI FI was great.
